Still delivering few showers, little drizzle, a lot of clouds through the southern half of the area. As we expected, it is the southern half of the Delaware Valley getting most impacted by this, but i step to this side you notice the heavy rain already long since retreated. So we did have some steadier stuff moved through last night, perhaps you were awake for, that but a the love us might even slept right through it, since were up dark, early at this point of the morning. And the further north you go, you have actually got some sunshine already. So, this is already beginning to pull away, which bodes real well for the weekend once it is out of here, we just see skies clear, and much nicer weather time. I want to draw your attention all the way out to the northern canadian prairie where we got basically nice well defined organization of new storm system brewing. This will eventually morph to the next story for our area, in terms of any showers thunderstorm chances, down the road. But, for now, it is all about that first storm system pulling away. So i wouldnt call this spectacular beach day granted more clouds than anything, and do you still have, again that dampness in the atmosphere. Not the best pool day even for philadelphia either. So we only gave you two out of five beach balls for the forecast mostly cloudy for the better part of the day even in philly, by some point today, you should see at least little bit of sunshine. And, as a result, we have actually upped our daytime high to the mid 80s here, so, with that said, expect any left over showers to happen primarily this morning second half of the day continues to clear out and over the course of the weekend looks good. I mean, you have mid 80s sunshine, you cant beat that. Looking forward late in the day, or specially at nighttime on monday, a shower or thunderstorm likely, is triggered with the approach of new front and it looks lick it could have a lot more moisture by tuesday. So little bit of more unsettled day at that point. And that keeps us back in the low and mid 80s. But tuesday people will be at work. Oh, yes we will be so far out. Much nicer weather in the meantime. Pretty active on the roads this morning . Really has been for a friday especially. We dont typically see this heavy travel. But it is, it is busy out there, and the more vehicles we get on the roadways, of course we know that we can get some crack out there. Then here is a live look outside at the roosevelt boulevard, as you travel southbound, coming up to the schuylkill expressway, once you get westbound on the schuylkill, you are still traveling at posted speeds. But thats one of the areas that will slow down sooner rather than later. Even on a friday. Heres look for you at the 42 freeway, out of in urge new jersey heading toward 295 not much of a change. And also how much sunshine youll see too this storm system truly has split the Delaware Valley in two. We have the heaviest rain roll through last night. It is still a storm system thats trying to pull away. So i would say we are watching the tapering take place as we speak, and we start things offer actually by showing you the system in its entirety here. Brunt of the wet weather, in fact, see it the northern branch. Of the system out over the open waters through the atlantic, just east of new jersey there, you see that, some heavy rain came through in the last couple of hours but, for the most part, it is all now well out to sea so heres what youre left w just few clouds, few showers little drizzle and it is all south of philadelphia, for the most part here really just looking at some clouds in the city here today. Skies that are already trying, Lehigh Valley, in general cooler start for you because you need the clouds to essentially act as blanket to trap in the heat. They didnt do that last night. Soap, little cooler for you as a result. 70 degrees the current temperature at the airport weve hovered around that spot for the last few hours here. And we are into the mid or low 60s, heading further inland traveling the pa turnpike, but again, split forecast, depending where you are what you are going to actually end up w so good sort of breakdown, region by region, further north you go, music fest underway, perfect excuse to hit up the festival in the bethlehem area. Lots of sun nice day. In philly and the suburbs we start with the clouds, but eventually the sun tries to break through, as the storm rotates away. Down the shore not the most ideal beach day granted but many of the showers likely to really just happen. This morning and then, it starts to clear out. And it all bodes very well for the weekend. These are the values that were expecting on the thermometer in philly, little cooler at the shore points, but overall meisha, a good stuff. I mean, by the time we hit the weekend, the sun is back, it is here to stay for yet another entire weekend. Awe s you know, katie, even though a lot of people might not think it is the best beach day, tell you what, i think they all went there. Because we had crazy busy morning. The roosevelt boulevard coming around the s curve trying to make your way to the schuylkill, then get on westbound, on the schuylkill, looking good too. This is one area that i have kept my eye on, just because it has been so busy, all week long, it looks great there right now. Let me show you some drive time. So were peaking at about 47 Miles Per Hour, 43 Miles Per Hour as were pushing toward that 7 00 hour. Thats actually pretty good. Believe it or not. Even though were still in the 6 00 hour, 95, looking good. Until you hit the vine then slowing down just little bit. But then it frees up again. Overall things looking real nice right now. Not looking bad, i have to say, all things considered, considering we have a storm system looking ahead to all week, not finding too bad of a forecast out there. Actually, we take you out to the eyewitness weather watcher network, we start things off with a couple of pictures, sunrise pictures coming in this morning than i think tells the story better than anything could. Because, we are starting to see, this one came in from ed, starting to see a little bit of daylight. Not just daylight, but actual sunshine so nice to see this is pulling away, del or essent in in from newark, delaware, another one beautiful beginning in bill bert ville one of the brighter spots of our area, right now there is coming from eileen, and we give one hour, little dreary from peter out at i believe in williamstown, new jersey, where weve started off with a bit more cloud cover. And that is just because we continue at this point to track storm system making it retreat. We go to one observation very quickly, 67 degrees came in, across the Delaware River to sharon conally, little bit of the mixture more clouds than sun, but little hint of sunlight out in gloucester township. Quiet, damp for her she said, but not bad start to the day. You know when you look at storm scan3 that is interesting to think about. Because we had some heavier rain move through through the overnight, bulk of the moisture now well off to the south. You can see retreat of the clouds, you can see retreat of the clouds off to the north here, so you actually had more sun than anything at this point through the Lehigh Valley, berks county, poconos and we are really just going to watch all of this taper with time. Now that said, Pay Attention to this guy right herement take a look whats going on. Actually area of low pressure that the National Hurricane sent her pegged as a possibility for some tropical development. This may churn up the surf for us headed into the second half of the weekend or monday, but it is expected to stay out to sea regardless of what happens. But to gather some tropical moisture, some tropical strength limited wind shear, may ends one some development see how we do. Weekends looks phenominal. Next shot for shower, late in the day monday. Then tuesday looks little wet at this point. Meisha, over to you. Sounds good thanks, katie good morning everyone, just waking up with us, tgif to you. Heres a live look outside. Weve got a crash here, this is your moving toward the airport, 95 northbound, at 320 or providence avenue. Only the right lane kinds of squeezing by. You see a lot of activity here. A lot of lights, crews on scene, pulled off to the shoulder blocking some of the lanes, just know, 95 northbound at 320 or providence avenue, is very busy because of this crash ill have update coming up in about ten minute, let you know how that looks, heres a look at the vine to and from the schuylkill. Actually looking pretty good here, also looking good on the roosevelt boulevard i just showed that you picture about ten minutes ago. And ben franklin bridge, just starting to heat up little bit. This is kind of typical for a friday. Not as much volume as you cross over trying to make your way into center city, so looking good, all of the bridges right now looking good, thats what we want to see as were headed into our rush hour, then, some time for you, you can see, 95 kind of our slow right now around cottman avenue, 17 Miles Per Hour, and then picking up a little bit once we get into center city. So overall hit or miss friday erika over to you. Meisha, thank you. The word this morning is fantastic. Human beings. The first four went into the unknown. But sometimes youre looking to discover one thing and you find something else. Elasticity, combustion, inch visibility, rock solid mission. I think this is a move bye young people coming to town, with things coming of age coming, you know dealing with adversity, having to come together to see a common enemy. The characters start out as kids contemporary reimagining of half develop comics original and longest running superhero team, showing how it all started with the goal of director josh strength.
