Kwantae Jamar Hovington was taken from this earth tragically Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at his home in Seaford.
Kwantae, or “Tator” as he was known to his family, was a loving father, companion, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved his family fiercely, especially his newborn baby girl, Khari Jhene’ Hovington. Kwantae was a hard worker and loved being outdoors. He had worked for Sposato Lawn Care, Grotto Pizza at the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach, Mountaire Farms in Milford, Allens Hatchery Inc. in Millsboro and had recently begun his own business venture, Miscellaneous Men Lawn Care.
Kwantae graduated from Cape Henlopen High School Class of 2010 and was well known for his talent in the sports of basketball, where he played point guard, as well as football. He began his football years playing with the youth league, Cape Sharks, and then during his high school years, he played running back, linebacker and wide receiver. He was an avid fan of Kobe Bryant and the Baltimore Ravens.
