Kuwait issues new regulations for jewellery stores
Price tags must include the company’s name, serial number (barcode), carat, weight and type of the piece

Jewellery shops in Kuwait have to publicly display the price and details of every item as per a new ministerial decision issued by Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr Abdullah Al-Salman.
The decision, which applies to precious handmade crafts and jewellery, also requires the price tag to include the company’s name, serial number (barcode), carat, weight and type of the piece, as well as its factorial value, along with the weight of the lobes and their type, the official Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
