KUNA : Kuwait parliament stance toward Palestinian cause extension of official stand -- speaker - Parliamentary

National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim meets Palestinian Prime Minister
KUWAIT, June 1 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Tuesday said "popular parliamentary stance toward the Palestinian cause is an extension of Kuwait's principled official stand" regarding the issue.
"Al-Dustour" news network quoted Al-Ghanim as affirming this stance during a reception of Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, currently on an official visit to the country.
The parliament speaker Al-Ghanim has also affirmed that the State of Kuwait maintains solid support for steadfastness and struggle of the Palestinian people, their just cause, noting that their solidarity and steadfastness "have contributed to divulging practices of the occupation to the world."
