San jose police say around 4 11 p. M. Sunday afternoon, they responded to a call of someone shooting a gun on comer drive. I probably counted about like maybe 15 cop cars got off on capitol, was waiting on delay on story and just cop after cop after cop. Police say they dont know what prompted the shooting. Sergeant garibay says after officers shot the suspect, the person was given medical aid at the scene by emergency responders. We cant tell you that no officers were struck by gunfire at this time. So now, as far as we can tell, most of the residents who were not able to get into their homes are back in their homes. There are still a few people standing out here on the sidewalk, but police did say that theyre going to continue to investigate, to gather information, to talk to potential witnesses and process any evidence that they may have. Now, we dont expect them to give us another update tonight, but they said if they do, theyll post it on x or twitter, and they expect the chief of police to have some sort of update tomorrow. Julie lamonica. Obviously, obviously its very early in the investigation. We dont have all the information here, but do we have any sense from San Jose Police about whether the suspect initially was was shooting at someone . They were not able to give us that information, and i honestly dont believe they know at this point. They just said that there was one suspect, that there was one officer, as far as they know, involved in this shooting. So theres just still a lot of information to be gathered. It went away this afternoon. A lot of areas had sunshine, saw the sunset out in the avenues, but the fog will try to trickle its way back in tonight. But it wont do a very good job, mainly down towards santa cruz. Fog comes back really into monday night tuesday. In the meantime, well have patchy fog and outside live you got pretty clear skies in San Francisco. Here are the highs from today. Theyre a little warmer than yesterday and tomorrows highs will be about the same as these. Were going to do this i mean this this temperature footprint will work would work for this whole week essentially, except maybe wednesday. We might see more mid 80s inland. But this is how its going to be. The pattern is pretty much stuck and the ridge is high. Pressure is way up here. Theres this low pressure close to us. Thats why its green because its not its unsettled kind of its essentially a little slightly unstable air mass thats enough to blow out the fog. You can see that big clear area along our coast, right. So the inversion fog needs an inversion. It needs High Pressure to stay and stay intact. And when you dont have it, you dont have fog even in the wintertime. Same thing. So as you look outside, weve got temperatures about where they were last night. At this time, the fog tomorrow morning and then tomorrow night. So interesting. Tuesday morning, more fog shows up in monterey bay tuesday afternoon, evening. You got a Little Something there. And then it comes in in earnest as this pattern changes over a little bit, but not to a warmer pattern, just a different flow, more northwesterly, which will continue to keep us cool. So this whole week, i mean, that could change. But this whole week, if you like, today youre going to like the whole week, especially if its a good day today. Tomorrow ill be a good day as well. The forecast highs tomorrow yellows are 70s, oranges are 80s. But its mostly about the yellows, especially around the bay proper into concord and those inland spots youll see some low 80s like antioch, fairfield and santa rosa. But morgan hill, just 79 degrees. The five day forecast, looks a lot like the last five days, five days ago. And then well look at the weekend. It does cool down a little bit, but the wind just shifts to a more northwesterly flow, which will bring more fog back. All right, bill, thank you.
