Were in an area called the charleston park. And this is where just in the last 15 minutes or so, weve seen about ten to maybe 20 or so people who we believe are part of this group staging this protest at the google campus today, today, of course, is googles flagship Developers Conference that is happening. Thousands are expected to attend the conference in person and online from around the world. And that is why the group that calls itself no tech for genocide is staging a protest here today. The focus of that organization is a program called project nimbus, which the group says is being used to target innocent civilians in the war in gaza. Since 2021, google and amazon have provided Cloud Computing service, Artificial Intelligence and other Tech Services to the Israeli Government through project nimbus. Last month, nine google workers staged a sit in protest in the office of one of the executives overseeing the program. That protest lasted for several hours. Those nine workers were arrested. Another 40 or so. Google workers and contractors were also fired following that sit in protest, including one of the organizers of todays protest action. Now back out here live. Youre looking at part of charleston park, a greenbelt area very close to the shoreline amphitheater, right next to the google campus. No protesting or demonstrations happening right now, but you do see a group of a couple of dozen people who are discussing and looking and talking to one another. You see them getting out some orange vests. Were going to be speaking to one of the protest organizers here shortly to find out more about what their plans are. This morning, the google Developers Conference is scheduled to start at 10 00 this morning. Live in Mountain View. Ali rasmus ktvu, fox two news. Ali, thank you.
