The violence we need to work towards a credible peace where people are treated equally. President joe biden expected to land in tel aviv in just a matter of hours. Good evening, everyone. Im mike mibach. And im julie julie haener. The president s historic visit already seeing some diplomatic challenges right before takeoff. His meeting in jordan with arab leaders was canceled following a deadly airstrike of a gaza hospital. Ktvu Jana Katsuyama joins us now. And jenna, hundreds were killed in that strike. Yes and there is some discussion and some controversy over whether that was an israeli airstrike or, as israel says, a misfire by by an Islamic Jihad group that is competing with hamas in gaza. Meantime President Biden is on his way, as you said, to that area. The explosion today at a gaza City Hospital has dramatically changed his efforts to push Diplomatic Solutions forward. Aid. Palestinian civilians bleeding and desperately needing medical care were rushed to the alshifa hospital in gaza city tuesday after another hospital in gaza was hit by a massive explosion. The Palestinian HealthMinistry Says as many as 500 people at the hospital were killed, many who were being treated or seeking shelter from the violence of the war. The blast sent political shockwaves beyond gazas borders. Hamas claimed it was an israeli airstrike and palestinian ions in ramallah, west bank filled the streets as outraged Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas called for three days of mourning. But israeli officials said they do not target hospitals and late tuesday, the Israeli Defense forces blamed another militant group in gaza. Intelligence from few sources that that we have in our hands in dictates that the Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch, which hit the hospital in gaza. The blast threatens to derail President Bidens high stakes trip into the war zone as air force one departed for israel tuesday afternoon, the white house said bidens summit in jordan with arab leaders abbas, Jordans King Abdullah and egypts president abdel fatah alsisi had been canceled. A critical part of the trip for diplomacy. King abdullah may be among the most important because he is in relative terms, the most cooperative of all the arab leaders, the most supportive of a two state solution, the most supportive of peace between israel and the arab states. If he is not able to meet with biden either, it just shows you how much the bombing of the hospital has riled up the population there. Michael knocked a former assistant defense secretary and Professor Emeritus at uc berkeley says missing talks with egypt. Also is critical as it has the only route for getting humanitarian aid into gaza. Egypt wants tight control over who is admitted to their country and doesnt have great love for the palestinians anyway and has had very limited support for the palestinians over the decades. As for the situation with the hostages, professor knox says some behind the scenes diploma, perhaps with the country of qatar, is also a likely possibility, as the us and israel try to get those hundreds of hostages in, including americans that are being held by hamas safely home. Jana katsuyama reporting live tonight. Jana, thank you. The humanitarian crisis in gaza is reaching a critical point. Israel has blocked water, food and fuel from entering gaza since last weeks attack. The United Nations secretary general is set to travel to cairo, egypt on thursday. A Spokesman Says he is focused on reopening the gaza border with egypt for humanitarian relief. Earlier today at four, we spoke with university of San Francisco professor stephen zunes. He says the gaza blockade could lead to mass casualties. Theres never in modern history, at least theres never been this kind of total a siege where food and medicine and fuel are are completely blocked from the from the outside. Again, were talking about about the gaza strip. Thats over 2 million people. And you know, people are fleeing to the south, which is, you know, which as israel said they needed to do since most of the military action has been the north. But this hospital was in the south. The professor said he expects to see the us pressure israel to open some kind of humanitarian corridor into gaza for supplies and medicine. Meantime, state department continues to offer charter flights to us citizens in israel through at least sunday. So far, more than 1000 us citizens and their families have evacuated and the us is advising americans not to travel to lebanon. Right now, the state department has raised the travel advisory for lebanon to level four more. Officials are citing an unprettier suitable security situation. There are also concerns that the war could spill into lebanon, which shares a border with israel. There have been clashes between israels military and the iran backed hezbollah militant group. Tonight, there are many jewish and palestinian communities right here in the bay area calling for an end to the violence and hatred here in the united states. Ktvu is joey horta live tonight in the newsroom with how the tragic death of a boy in chicago is bringing people with opposing views closer together. Joey yeah. Mike both sides here have many differences, but the one thing they seem to agree on tonight is that these attacks against innocent civilians need to stop. Hundreds of people gather for a candlelight vigil at dolores park in San Francisco tuesday night. We demand one thing that palestinians are able to live a life free from violence, free from fear and free from a military occupation that has now gone on for more than 75 years. The Group Standing in solidarity with palestine says after the bombing of a hospital claiming hundreds of lives in the gaza strip and attack israel blames on terrorists among the crowd of demonstrators say army moshasha visiting from jerusalem, where he worked for the un helping refugees in gaza. I just lost 14 of my colleagues, including a person that worked with me for several years in my own office. And the Ripple Effect from the war also turning deadly in the us over the weekend, where chicago Authorities Say a six year old palestinian american boy was stabbed to death because of his muslim faith. The suspect shot his landlord. Its devastating. Its really devastating. Both sides agree its so sad. Its horrendous. And the reality is it could have been a jewish boy. The tragedy prompting the Bay Area Jewish CommunityRelations Council to join 120 jewish groups across the country in calling for an end to islamophobia and antiarab hate. We do not need this war to come here. We need to make sure that our two minority are protected and we need to stand up for one another. Jewish groups offering an olive branch in hopes for peace and theres at least some agreement. We need to work towards a credible peace where people are are treated equally. And now palestinian americans here in the bay area are calling for the us to stop funding israel, although we should point out, congress is not able to send any additional money until they choose the next speaker of the house. Joey ktvu, fox two news. Mike, back to you. All right, joey, thank you for that. High School Students in San Francisco and really around the bay area are planning to walk out of class in protest of attacks in gaza. This is part of a national day of action calling for an immediate cease fire in the israelhamas war. Student organizers say they dont want the us to send aid to israels military. They also want to protect students from racism. San francisco elected officials and religious leaders will speak on the steps of city hall tomorrow in support of their cause and for the very latest on the war in the middle east, just head off to our website at ktvu. Com no person having received a majority of the whole number of votes cast by surname a speaker has not been elected. House republicans have failed to elect a new speaker after ohio congressman jim jordan fell short today in the first round of voting. Congressman jordan is now working to win over the holdouts as ktvu. Political reporter greg lee tells us jordans bid failed by 20 votes and he now faces an uphill climb to get that gavel. Encouraged by the winning over of a few holdouts, republicans call the floor vote tuesday an effort to make gop hardliner jim jordan the next house speaker. Our friend and colleague, jim jordan, is a patriot. He is an America First warrior who wins the toughest of fights. Jordans supporters spent the weekend pressuring holdouts who are concerned about his voting record and his ties to former President Trump and are still angry about Kevin Mccarthys ouster. A vote today to make the architect of a nationwide abortion ban a vocal election denier. And an insurrection insider to the speaker of this house would be a terrible message to the country and our allies. Bacon mccarthy. Jordans trouble started early in the alphabetical roll call vote. The speaker has not been elected. He ultimately lost 20 republican votes, leaving him 17 short of the gavel. All 212 democrats voted for minority leader hakeem jeffries. Paging my traditional republican colleagues, its time to get off the sidelines. Break away from the extremists, get in the arena so we can fight on a bipartisan path forward. The house adjourned. As jordan works to find the votes, telling reporters hell go as many rounds as it takes. Had great conversations, great discussions with our colleagues and frankly, no one no one in our conference wants to see any type of Coalition Government with democrats, with no speaker. The house remains paralyzed to act on the wars in ukraine and israel as well as the looming government shutdown. As congressman jordans path forward remains unclear. There are discussions runs about giving temporary speaker Patrick Mchenry more power. Im wearing a bow tie because i think were going to have a speaker mc bow tie. I think itll be Patrick Mchenry tomorrow by speaker republicans are going to have to do something. Theyre going to have to do something fast. And it looks like jim jordan will not be their next speaker. The next vote for speaker of the house has been scheduled for 8 a. M. Our time wednesday. Greg lee ktvu fox two news silicon. Tonight, a ban on Street Vendors in one San Francisco neighborhood. The effort to keep streets safe and crack down on illegal activity. It warmed up today. Its going to heat up the next couple of days. A heated advisory in effect for the next 48 hours. Ill see you back here with the forecast. Also, Santa Clara County looking to generate more funds. The increase in a county tax and how it could affect the bay area around levis stadium we made it bmo has arrived. Hello . You said it. Hello to more ways to save money, grow your wealth, grow your business. Just what we needed, another big bank. Not so fast. How many banks do you know that reward you for saving every month . Hes got a good point. Did i mention bmo has more feefree atms than the two largest us banks combined . Uh, bmo . Just beemo, actually. Quick question, will all this stuff fit in your car . should i get rid of the mug . Bmo fencing operations, as well as safety issues for those trying to keep the streets clean. Ktvu is alice was live tonight at San Francisco city hall with the story. Alice thats right. Mike it was here at city hall earlier today. We spoke with supervisor hilary ronen. She wants to ban vendors on Mission Street to help for safety issues that are tasked by those that are responsible for cleaning up the streets. Supervisor Hillary Ronen wants to take a harder stance with vendors on Mission Street. Its a safety issue for city employees, dpw employees who are enforcing the law are wearing bulletproof vests to work every day. If they had their lives threatened, theyve been assaulted. A state law instituted in 2018 made street vending legal. But thats led to problems on Mission Street. Senate bill 946 doesnt allow. Now sfpd to enforce laws relating to vendors at all. A recent fencing operation led to public works employees seizing hundreds of stolen goods, which some say is not unusual in this area. But other sellers seem to be legitimate. I bring my own stuff, you know what i mean . Brandon comes up from sunnyvale to sell his unwanted stuff. What do you sell . Anything. Cords, socks, hats, toys. All. Anything. I mean, anything. And everything. Theyll buy it right here. I used to donate the stuff to the goodwill, but instead of doing that, if i can make a few bucks on it, why not . For vendors, it can be a way of survival, especially for new arrivals and those suffering from poverty. Its how these people bring food to their families. Its a way that the these people survive. Ronen says the mission isnt the only area where vendors are a problem. Its citywide. Our Small Business is are about to shut down because people cant get into their stores and our residents arent using Public Transportation anymore. At the bart stations because theyre so scared to get on the bus or the bart with the mayor, City Attorney and others. Shes looking for a 90 day trial period banning all vendors except permitted food carts to see if that cuts down on issues. We also need to bring back a sense of civility and order and safety and vibrancy to our commercial corridors and our streets. And so thats the balance were trying to strike. And this all came about because department of public works employees were asking to be reassigned due to fears about their safety. As for now, its still only going to be a 90 day trial and the City Attorney feels that they can do that. And alice, if after 90 days, you know, all is successful with the program, will supervisor ronen then work to amend the law . Thats right. Shes working with scott wiener and others in the state legislature to amend the law to allow cities to have more ability to address this kind of thing so that its safety and security and also protects the Small Businesses. There you go. All right. Im live in San Francisco. Alice wurtz, ktvu fox two news. All right, alice, thank you for that. Staying in the city, San Francisco supervisors voted today to start administering a new tax on empty homes. I wanted to take the opportunity to remind nonexempt Property Owners with vacant units that now is the time to take steps to fill empty homes, which has been the intent of this effort from the start. Voters approved proposition m last november. However, it imposes a tax on Housing Units left vacant for six months and buildings with three or more Housing Units. Now the tax starts at 2,500. For smaller units, it can go as high as 5,000. The board voted to start administering the tax january 1st. And with that first filing deadline set for april of 2025. New at ten tonight, the city of santa clara is working to reduce its deficit. The city council recently voted to raise the transient occupancy tax. That tax for people staying in hotels and Short Term Rentals will go from 11. 5 to 12. 5 within the next two years. Council members say they will use some of the revenue to develop the area around levis stadium, with the hopes of hosting more headliner events like recent Beyonce Taylor swift concerts. The city is currently facing a 9 million deficit. The tax change takes effect in january. All right. I noticed it today. Maybe you did as well. But warmer temperatures out there and theyre going to get even hotter. Were going to get hotter next couple of days. Were going to go into we got to start a heat advisory tomorrow. And that lasts into thursday. The trend was for a little cooler yesterday. That happened and now the trend now is ramping up into thursday, which will be the warmest day of the week and might see a record or two. But we most certainly will have a heat advisory for basically the entire bay area for the next 48 hours starts tomorrow, ends on thursday, cooling after that. These are the highs from today. It was warmer today. Highs tomorrow will be a little warmer still. And thats how this goes. The hot spots are going to be in the low 90s pretty much through this whole event. Is it a heat wave . Mm hm. Its a couple of days. We got a big cooldown after this, but its definitely going to increase fire danger. And the concern is for theres some big surf at the coast. So a lot of folks are going to run out to the beaches. Theres a lot of fog right out the coast port visibility there. But there will be some breaks up at stenson and places like that. So theres that kind of a thing to think about. Hot days, big city, scary ocean in. So just the next couple of days, think about that if youre on the coast and dense fog advisories potential again tomorrow morning right along the coast these are the highs forecast for tomorrow. Ill do the full forecast in just a few minutes. All right, bill, thank you. Today marks 34 years since the devastate loma prieta earthquake rocked the bay area. That 6. 9 quake hit shortly after 5 p. M. On october 17th, 1989, just as game three of the world series between the giants and as was getting underway at candlestick park, 63 people died and more than 3700 others were injured. The quake caused an estimated 6. 8 billion in damage and displaced more than 1200 people earlier today on the four, we spoke with Harold Chapin spiegelman, the former chief of the menlo park Fire Protection district. He says loma prieta led to the creation of the urban search and rescue and National Response team today in the state of california, we have a very robust system even outside the federal state teams for response, which pays off every year in some form, whether it be in water rescues or avalanche rescue or fire response. And so forth. So all of that is related in some way, quite honestly, to the loma prieta earthquake. A according to the usgs, even as destructive as the loma prieta quake was, it was the third, 10th strongest ever in the state and the second largest ever in the bay area behind the great quake of 1906. Similar incidents have been reported at other City Council Meetings in recent weeks. Remote comments were introduced as part of the response to covid. Exceptions will be made for seniors and people with disabilities who need special accommodations. San Francisco Mayor london breed is pushing for an initiative that involves some substantial overhauls to the police department. Ktvu is christian, captain explains the mayors proposed Ballot Initiative aimed at restoring some key Police Powers. San franciscos mayor, london breed, says she wants voters to decide how the city will respond to crime. Shes putting forth a ballot measure, save for San Francisco that she says will expand Police Powers and get rid of red tape, slowing officers down. Now, we are going to the voters and say voters of San Francisco, this is whats happening. And these are the basic tools we need to improve Public Safety in San Francisco, support safer sf today say. The mayor says her measure would streamline paperwork and procedures to get officers out on the streets more quickly and would broaden department use of new technology, including surveillance cameras and drones and pursuits, and to solve crimes. Police chief bill scott says the changes would make an Immediate Impact on his departments ability to track down and catch criminals. He pointed to the fact that San Francisco currently lacks air support to track down suspects after a crime is committed. We dont have it. So if we had the ability to have drones at the end of a foot pursuit, we get in foot pursuits all the time. Our perimeters we have technology and drones that helped us find that would help us fine id the person were looking for. Thats a huge, huge thing for us. The ballot measure would effectively work around the board of supervisors and police commission, while three supervisors stood in support of the mayors plan. Others say they need to see the plan before deciding whether or not they support it. The Electronic Frontier foundation, a watchdog in the digital space, says it has concerns about the proposed ballot measure, which they say would weaken Community Control over police use of surveillance technology, saying in part, quote, putting communities under a microscope with high tech surveillance will inevitably hurt those communities that are already the most policed, surveilled and marginalized. The mayors safer San Francisco measure is set to go on the ballot in march of next year in San Francisco. Christien kafton ktvu fox two news. Is giving San Jose Police officers the option to take first time misdemeanor offenders pulled over for dui to a recovery station rather than booking them into jail. Ktvu south bay reporter Lamonica Peters live tonight at San Jose Police headquarters with more on the story. Lamonica Santa Clara County says this program will help reduce incarceration rates and reduce the amount of time that officers spend booking people in jail. But mothers against drunk driving say they dont believe this program will help save lives. In Santa Clara County is now partnering with the San Jose Police department to offer nonviolent first time misdemeanor dui offenders the chance to recover at its Mission Street recovery station. An officers will decide case by case to either take the first time offender to jail or arrest them with a criminal. Sites option and allow them to sober up. Our main jail was basically used as a sobering site, and that really prevented from officers to getting back to patrolling neighborhoods because they had to wait 45 minutes to an hour before while the individual is being booked and completely charged. Aguirre says recent data shows 1500 people arrested on misdemeanor dui were released within 24 hours. He also says first time dui offenders are offered Substance Abuse services, with horizons still, mothers against drunk driving or madd, say 30 of all crashes in california are dui related. And it considers any dui offense as a serious crime. Most people who have driven who finally get a dui have driven drunk 80 times. So you know, the statistics show that even if you just got your first dui, thats usually not your first time getting behind the wheel of a vehicle when youre impaired. San jose Police Say People who are noncompliant have additional charges or warrants have a previous felony dui or a dui within the last ten years. Will not be eligible for the Mission Street recovery station. If the arrestee is charged with a felony dui, theyre not eligible for this program. If the individual themselves want to be booked into custody, they will be booked into custody and the county says that it will review this data in six months to make sure that the program is equitable and working. Matt says itll continue advocating for people to make better choices like a designated driver or using a Rideshare Company if theyve been drinking. Mike all right. Ktvu brooks jarocz has more now on their complaint. Oakland is going down in flames and our mayor is missing in action. Frustration was front and center outside at city hall ahead of mayor tsingtaos first state of the city address. There is no accountability. Mayor xiang tao is not doing what shes supposed to do. Meantime, the airport says it must address future passenger demand in a responsible way. And if it does not modernize. Officials say the Oakland Airport could lose economic benefits and jobs. Some Major Airlines are now going after smaller competitors who they say invaded their still recovering postpandemic market shares. Ktvu tom vacar explains how this aviation debate is affecting a Small Airline that flies in and out of the bay area. Jsx airlines is whats called a public charter air operator, a kind of hop on jet service that allows it to fly planes up to 30 seats in and out of their own private terminals at many us airports, big and small, such operators meet decades old federal operation safety and security regulations that apply to them. The faa, even clarified themselves that they could not find any statistical evidence to support the idea that there was any threat or any risk involved. It has flight attendants powered at every row of seats free wifi, as well as snacks. Your checked bags are handed to you as you come off the aircraft. No waiting at carousel aisles like 50 plus other such airlines. Theyre growing in popularity. Jscs passenger alan scott uses jsx between the bay area, los angeles and las vegas, where he does a lot of business. The benefit is, is really time you know, you can get here 20 minutes before the flight takes off and its easy to get to get off the plane. Alex holmes used to fly southwest. Theyre a very good airline. Ive been very happy with them. Its great. Ive been able to show up about ten minutes before a flight and be able to go right on. Since and other similar operator. These are charter operators. The rules from security to crew flight hours are different than those imposed on major carriers such as american, delta, southwest and others. Now major carriers citing safety concerns, are urging the federal Aviation Administration to consider changes for these small carriers, which could wipe them out as competitors. But more than 70,000 passengers and supporters have already written to the faa to leave these airlines be and sort of, you know, trying to go after gsx, maybe they ought to consider going in the same business. Theres nothing stopping these carriers from starting an operation similar to ours. These carriers often fly into smaller airports, long abandon by big commercial airlines. Jsx cites concords buchanan field, where it now flies. It was the first flight to touch down in that airport after 24 years. And so, you know says its backed by united and jetblue and Qatar Airways passing all of their rigid safety audits. Tom vacar, ktvu, fox two news and historic meeting in palo alto today. It is the corrupt approaches of the russian regime under putin. That is the real problem. Um, thank you very much. The one hour talk focused on intellectual and high tech theft by the Chinese Government. Speaking to the press after todays conference, leaders said combating data theft is a priority. They say ai and changing technology is exasperating. The threat we have seen large scale theft of data, not just innovation, which has been the focus of this summit, but also large swaths of americans personal data. The Chinese Government has stolen more of americans personal and corporate data than every other nation, big or small combined, said the heads of the five eyes say their mission is to both protect their open cultures and guard against the efforts that harm them. Engineers are already getting ready for that heat advisory tomorrow and then again on thursday. Its going to be pretty warm. Its not going to be 100 degrees, but we could see some mid well, probably low 90s, but we might see a mid 90s somewhere. But itll be interesting. The inland valleys will be in the low 90s, the coastal sections will be cool though because weve got that dense fog, theres the heated advisory. Thats the next two days. The hottest day will be on thursday as you see this sort of roller coaster going up and peaking on thursday and then right after thursday, thursday into friday into saturday and sunday, temperatures start to cool rapidly. And then we have the potential for some very mild to cool weather the following week. Thats way down the road. In the meantime, you got highs today that were warmer by 4 or 5 degrees in some places. Highs tomorrow will be a couple of degrees warmer. Its going to be just a little bit each day incremental as we go into thursday and then a quick cooldown. Theres fog at the coast and we did have dense fog advisory. Again, this morning for parts of the bay area. You could see it again, especially right along the coastal strips. The fog is really pinched down tight right along the coast. So the inversion is shallow and the visibilities are very poor. So be careful. Highway one, great highway, all those spots up around Stinson Beach and you know where you know where the spots are. Thatll be the story again tomorrow and probably be the story for the next couple of days, even though its going to be warm to hot inland, were going to see fog just right at the coast. And the model bears that out. Heres tomorrow morning and you see the fog thats that dull gray. And then you see the fog hangs in doesnt no clouds overhead, but just fog at the coast. All day tomorrow, warmer day, thursday, same deal, more fog and more fog. All day. Thursday. Thursday is the warmest day. And then after that, it changes over. Theres a live picture of the bay bridge traffic moving. Cant see the fog because its right out at the beach tomorrow morning, itll be right at the coast and around the bay and then forecast highs. Oranges are 80s, reds are 90, so theres a couple of 90s showing up right. Some low 90s showing up in concord and livermore. The 92 in fairfield, 90 in santa rosa. So tomorrow, a little warmer than today. And then thursday peaks and then friday, saturday it drops off. So fire danger is going to come up for sure, as you would expect, surfs pretty big right now. Its going to be biggest on thursday. So if you do have plans to go out to the coast, be careful there. The cooling begins in earnest on friday and takes us right into saturday and sunday with maybe some sprinkles in that forecast. All right, bill, thank you. They might put together their first win of the new season, san jose hosting carolina. And there is always something cute about a kid in a shark costume. They were tied two two late in the second period. San jose on a power play henry thrun to william eklund, whos turned back once but puts his own rebound in the net. Sharks took the lead to the second intermission and the sharks kept that lead for much of the third. But then the hurricanes exploded on a power play. Stefan nils evens the game at three and then less than three minutes later, carolina was on another power play. Great passing here. Seth jarvis gets the go ahead goal. The hurricanes then padded it with two more. They score four times in the third period for a 6 to 3 win and three games. The sharks have two losses in regulation and one in overtime. The Philadelphia Phillies seem to be on a mission to get back to baseballs biggest series and get the championship they were denied last year. The phillies hosting arizona in game two of the nlcs tonight with manny trillo and Gary Matthews performing first pitch honors fills up one nothing in the third, and then Kyle Schwarber doubled that lead off. Merrill Kelly Schwarber has been making a habit of hitting home runs in this series, this solo shot was his second and there would be a third same matchup in the sixth inning. Schwarber hits this one into a deeper part of the ballpark, but gets the same result. The runs kept coming for the phillies, who rolled to a ten nothing win. They lead the series two to nothing as it now heads to arizona for game three on thursday. The phils are seven and one in this years postseason. Those who were expecting the 49 ers to do anything less than go 17 and zero this season are still reeling about sundays loss in cleveland. Probably more pressing than San Franciscos first loss is the question of who will be healthy for next monday nights game in minnesota. Three vital parts of the 40 niners offense left the cleveland game. Deebo samuel with a shoulder injury. Christian mccaffrey with what they describe as an oblique injury and left tackle Trent Williams returned after another very big guy rolled on his right ankle. The good news is that xrays were negative on all three. The 40 niners do have an extra day to get healthy since theyre playing on monday night. Theyll then be back home against cincinnati before their bye week and the 40 niners and lions are two of the five teams in the league with five and one records. They dont play each other this year in the regular season. Debo samuel and lions defensive back c. J. Gardnerjohnson have been exchanging jabs on social media. Nonetheless, Gardner Johnson criticized samuels behavior in the pregame scuffle against the browns, in which Trent Williams came to the rescue and cooled things down. Debo responded that Gardner Johnson should stay quiet or he might suffer. What happened to the saints . Rasheed shaheed on that play, the exchanges between the two continue to go back and forth. Gardner johnson has since decided to use his voice rather than his texting fingers. Bro dont be friendly when you see me because you be so flashy. You better hope bro, you better hope all that talk youll be doing when we see yall, whatever round it may be. Because i cant guard you, you cant run routes. Youre a running back. Youre a running back. I aint even going to sit here and play with you, little boy because you got a little bag. People gave you a little clout, man. You aint nothing, bro. Stop playing. Too bad they dont meet in the regular season this year. More on the injury front. The new york jets thought they had all the pieces in place for a competitive run when they acquired Aaron Rodgers in the off season. Rodgers then suffered an achilles injury in his very first series of the year. Sunday rodgers was out of a cast or walking boot and flipping passes before the jets went out and handed the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season. On his weekly podcast today, rodgers talked about how his recovery is running ahead of schedule. Hes even said he thinks he could be back this year. I asked him if we could push it, if we could push it beyond the normal protocols. Cam akers had the same surgery. He was able to come back in about five months. Me and jake both had the surgery within a couple of days of each other, and itll be interesting to see what both of our prognosis is. And in our timetable. The most important thing is you just dont want to stretch the achilles stress. Okay stretch not okay. A week from today, the warriors will open the regular season at home against kevin durant and the phenix suns. Itll be interesting to see the identity of golden state starting lineup and how the second team minutes are delegated warriors did announce today that Draymond Green will not play in the final two preseason games. Green sprained his ankle a couple of weeks ago in a pickup game. Greens been cleared for light on the Court Workouts and steve kerr does have a philosophy about when it comes to green and opening night. I wouldnt put him out there tuesday night if he hasnt played any five on five. So you know, were hoping that later this week its three on three and that translates into five on five, maybe we have a practice sunday. We got saturday off. So maybe over the weekend and check it out on a tuesday night. This is a 12 year old and a youth Football Game in saint louis. That is a one handed snag. Wow. And then an interception returned to the house. That is a catch six. Thatd make Odell Beckham proud. Hes the guy that i really remember growing up with one. I hope he goes both ways. That was a nice grab. Yeah. Im sure as a 12 year old, he probably does. Yeah. All right, joe, thank you.
