They found some of his possessions, a phone and a wallet in a grassy area between the Visitor Center and the cafe thats up there on the hill. But right now, the mother, father and brother are here in the bay area just begging and investigators and anybody out there to try and help them locate johannes. Im heartbroken. Johannes cadens family is terrified. His parents and older brother joseph flew in from new york wednesday after they suddenly lost touch with the 22 year old. They say johannes had just graduated from cornell in may and was starting a job in the bay area at netflix. He traveled here late july, july 26th, and he started work last week. So this was his second week of work. But on monday night they were worried when his phones location tractor didnh, determined my son. I want my son, i just want my son. His older brother, joseph, says. Johannes lives in san jose. The family notified police there and officers found some Surveillance Footage at his apartment. Two young colleagues of his saw him and were able to talk to him, but he said he was heading to San Francisco to maybe meet a friend. The last footage that ive seen of him was him leaving his apartment building, getting in an uber in a black toyota camry. Joseph says on tuesday morning, a commuter found johannes wallet and phone near the Welcome Center at the Golden Gate Bridge. 30 bucks in cash was in the wallet. Ids cards, phone untouched. Then on wednesday, they say police found johannes backpack. It had two of his laptops and some personal documents. Now they are searching and hoping that investigators will help them locate johannes shelters, visiting, distributing posters, doing everything that we can in our power to get my brother back. My best friend. I need Everything Possible to be done. I just want my baby dead or alive. The family says that investigators were able to pull some surveillance camera footage from some of the cameras that are here at the Golden Gate Bridge Visitor Center area. They say at one point it shows somebody who could be johannes, but it was not very clear video. They are hoping to get a better identification off of that with some analysis. But certainly one of the things they said is they had talked to him on sunday evening. He seemed to be in a good mental state emotionally very excited about his job. So right now, there are just a lot of questions, not so many answers tonight were they able o his uber account to find out where the uber ride left him or dropped him . Well, at this point, i have contacted the chp for marin county. The bridge patrol and san jose. We are still awaiting responses from them about where the investigation stands. And they said that it was an uber, a car with an uber sticker. So it wasnt exactly clear if he had taken an uber or a rideshare or if it was somebody that he might have known who had that sticker. Those are all questions that they are hoping to get to the bottom of. But at this point, its just very difficult for this family as they wait for investigators to give them more information. You can definitely understand that. A heartbreak, aching search there. Gianna, thank you. Well, Santa Rosa Police are asking for help tonight in finding a missing teenager. How do we get rid of the officers who, in fact, engaged in illegal, unconstitutional conduct . Antioch mayor lamar thorpe called it a dark day. In a statement, thorpe said in part to those that have accused me and others of being anti police for seeking to reform the Antioch Police department. Comcast business, powering possibilities. California. And theres also growing concern the Stormy Weather could hit parts of our state. Reporter Cristina Gonzalez tells us officials in Southern California are getting ready for the potential impact. Go back. Ive lived here. My entire life for 40 years and ive never seen a hurricane here like scary for sure. It does sound crazy like a hurricane hitting california like it almost doesnt sound real. Its real. All right. Hurricane hillary making its way up the coast from baja, california. And depending on what it does, the next 24, 48 hours, it could end up being the first major Tropical Storm to hit california since the 1930 beach is firming up the berm that protects homes. The city is currently mitigating and monitoring the strategies for the impacts that could potentially come with this hurricane hillary. Theres predictions up to 1 to 2in of rain possible in the coastal communities. Heavy winds and then also surf surf that will impact us. Theres pump stations that are going to be throughout town in the low lying and prone prone to flooding areas. You can see hillarys possible path in our fox weather app. If the hurricane stays close to mexico, were not going to get that much surf when it swings out to the out to sea, its going to be more in the Southern California swell window. A southeast swell here would be pretty amazing. But i dont know about the wind. The winds going to be like 69 miles an hour when it hits here. So everybody scoot back down. Definitely not for beginners, says michael. Plus, get up now. Surf that ten foot wave working with his surfing students at a beach where not too many were aware of whats coming their way. Those larger waves fuel, rip currents. And thats our main concern as lifeguards is keeping people out of the rip currents. Those rip currents generally lend to historically more rescues that were going to be out there making. Christina gonzalez, fox news. All righty. So its a category three hurricane now its way down there. Its not going to hit california as a hurricane. It just is. And its going to the moisture is going to probably move in here and youll see it here in the model. So heres the low. You can see that counterclockwise flow. Were into saturday morning now watch what happens. Youll see everything starting to get pulled in here. So it starts moving pretty quick. So look at the trajectory of the moisture. The low just stays offshore and drives this thing right into the deserts of Southern California and into los angeles as well. Maybe a little south of los angeles. But look at that bulls eye there. That could be 3 to 6in of rain. Believe it or not. And again, not a hurricane, but Tropical Storm moisture moving in and the potential for the heavy rains anytime you get that kind of moisture that far north, youre going to have yourself some rain. We could get some rain up here as well. I think its a tad early, especially since were talking about mainly on saturday, sunday and up here, it would be sunday night into monday if we were to see anything. So yeah. So its a lot its a lot, especially for Southern California. And i think those deserts to la the basin, desert southwest, theyre not theyre not set up for big rains like a half foot of rain in, in 12 hours. It might even be less than that. And so there would be a lot of issues, as you would expect. And there will be actually, because that is going to theres going to be a lot of rain in Southern California. The question is, how far north does it come . And that question really probably wont be answered until we get to friday afternoon. Saturday, well feel a little better about the forecast. Theres the temperatures there. Cooler than they were yesterday at this time. So thats where we go. Were going to cool off. Heres the big rotation. I keep doing this, but its important to see. Its just thats this is the same rotation, the low thats sitting down here thats going to drive that moisture into Southern California. And if the lower to back out a little bit, it would drive it right into us, which would be kind of messy as well. So well keep an eye on it. Lots can happen. Youve got a lot of, lot going on with this system. And you got a hurricane, too. Thats going to have it has a little bit of mind of its own as it moves north. Itll move into colder water. Thats why it wont stay a hurricane. And itll be very hard to say. A Tropical Storm as well. But well see. That could happen here are the forecast for the morning or the evening, the clouds. And then theres the morning. See all the cloud push. So its going to be a cooler morning tomorrow, cooler day tomorrow because of all that push. And then more thunderstorms up in the lake tahoe area saturday morning. A bit of fog, more thunderstorms and here is the leading edge of what would be hillarys moisture moving into our direction. So forecast for tomorrow. Look at all that cloud cover. So it looks like all nine bay area counties have some cloud temperatures tomorrow end up in the 70s, 80s and low 90s, but not in the upper 90s as we have been. So theres the temperature footprint 88 in fairfield, maybe 90, Something Like that. 90 in livermore 89, Something Like that. But temperature is not as hot. It will still be humid though because of that big loop out there and that humidity is going to be noticeable. And you can see right across the five day here, thats a lot of moisture pulling into the bay area over the next five days. So it wouldnt be hard to get a few showers or even a thunder shower out of it. Well keep you posted as we get closer. Ill see you back here in a little bit. Well, thank you. The nine day festival held in a makeshift city in the nevada desert is usually sold out. But this year, more people than usual are reselling their tickets online. Veteran burners speculate this is due to the pushback against plug and play camps like mobile homes and rvs that go against the radical selfreliance mission of the festivals origin, an increased presence of tech and venture capitalist influences may also be a factor in the festivals dwindling attendance.
