Foxs Danielle Miller reports. I would be on the market searching for cars, and it was kind of difficult depending on the dealership you went to. It was the same for many other buyers like julio castillo. The covid 19 pandemic affected many things. Car sales being one of the top, with factories shutting down and chip shortages. Car lots were left empty and used. Car prices skyrocketed. Things are now getting back to normal, according to Whitney Yates woods of yates, buick. Now we have a lot of inventory, so youll see different colors, different makes different models, different trim levels. Finally starting to return to normal. At one point, people were paying the same price for a used car as they would buying new. That isnt the case now. Used car prices have taken a bit of a turn downward because the new car inventory has returned to normal. So people can now get a new car instead of having to buy use. According to the usb, the global car production will exceed sales by 6 this year, leaving an excess of 5 million vehicles. Because of this, as well as high interest rates. Yates says prices will need to be dropped to get cars sold, so they want them to go. They dont want them to sit on the lot. So theyre going to offer rebates and incentives for buyers to be able to purchase them. Yates says her dealership has nearly 100 units on it at any given time. Thats something they havent seen in years. Danielle miller, fox news. Looking at the temperatures from today, pretty darn warm out there. Tomorrow well see a little more humidity and temperatures very similar to these. So its going to be a little more humid and still pretty hot. Some clouds coming in around the area. We talked about it earlier, some scattered showers in the area. Mild conditions around the bay, but still warm in. Look at brentwood at 80 degrees. Livermore right now at 80 degrees. And then you see the fog at the coast and above this fog, youve got the cloud deck which is coming in from the east. Its flowing off the Sierra Nevada where there were thunderstorms up around granite bay and the east of san bento. And those thunderstorms have drifted out across the valley in an east to west direction and have brought some showers into our region. So heres the east to west flow. Thats this is the current radar. And you can see youve got a few showers, sprinkles and a fine line in those white flashes. Those are Lightning Strikes. Thats over the last couple of hours. So most of the activity dying down now, but we still have some scattered showers in the bay area. We had a Lightning Strike, at least doppler radar, organized Lightning Strike at around fairfield about an hour or so ago. And you see those scattered showers working their way in that line. So pretty light, but still unusual. Not unusual for this time of year. But just unusual in the summer to get get a few drops on. You the lightning and thunder. There might be a pop or two again tonight, but i suspect most of that is dying down in whats left are these scattered showers , especially out around napa and out in this area where you can see some oranges and some some yellows representing perhaps windshield wipers going full time, short lived, but still wet. So thats how that is right now. Tomorrow therell be a little bit of a chance of that again, mainly a little to the further to the north and then the cloud cover tomorrow will bring us well, you can see the clouds now. It will bring us a lot of humidity for tomorrow. And thats coupled with these very high temperatures at the surface. So 6 or 70. 80s and 90s around the bay and upper 90s inland in the bay area with humidities that are elevated because of that moisture that i just showed you there. So forecast high temperatures, perhaps 100 out in antioch, 91 in san jose or not, san jose and santa rosa and with humidity. So thats going to feel a little bit sticky like today, but just a little vibe to it because again, the humidity changes a lot, especially it only has to come up ten, 12, 15. And youll notice it. So heres a five day forecast and youre noticing that weve got temperature hours that are going to be pretty warm the next couple of days in those inland spots. But around the bay, we are kind of staying away from the heat. Most of the heat is going to be in the valley, in the inland bay valleys and out in sacramento valley, where the east side of the valley has a heat advisory. Lets pop in saturday and sunday and you can see the next weekend. Temperatures into the mid and upper 80s. So pretty hot out there. No heat advisories, no spare of the air, at least as of now. But definitely very, very warm to hot inland. Warm around the bay. Sounds good, bill. Thank you, trey lance in the niners make their preseason debut in las vegas.
