Stadium. And the first night of her bay area concerts. Good evening. Im greg lee. And im Cristina Rendon taylor swift took the stage at 8 00. She still has about an hour left of her three hour 44 song set list swifties have been posting about their eras tour experience all day from special moments on stage to the long lines outside for official concert merchandise, social media is chronicling the whole thing. Zac sos has been at levis stadium all evening. Were having fun and enjoying it in the parking lot hes received some friendship bracelets. He was texting me about what a good time he has been having. As you see some of these photos, i mean, we saw these lines stretching all the way around levis for hours. Some people camping out early, early this morning because they wanted to be first in line. Right. And then even yesterday, we saw fans lining up to get their merchandise. So this is many fans have described it as a once in a lifetime event and many of them paying the price for that. Yes, its just a very big experience talking about one of the biggest artists of our current time, zac sos was there. He has some more from outside of levis stadium. Taylor swift taking the stage at levis in front of a sea of swifties. Weve been waiting for this entire School Year Just to see taylor swift that way. Finally, over on friday, a day marked in die hard fan clarissas calendar for months now. Like am i dreaming . Can someone pinch me like im so excited . The tickets a gift shell never forget. I got these tickets for christmas and cried like full on bawling. And not the only one to shed a tear like one dramatic tear like full movie. Sophie surprised by her parents with prime seats during ballet class. I ran out and like, did the beep boop. Some of those gift givers in the stands friday, like proud swiftie dad turned super fan a meal. My daughter, she turned me on to taylor swift a few years ago and i started buying some of her albums and they were fantastic. I mean, my dads awesome in taylor, if youre watching, i love you, youre awesome. Anya edwards decked from head to toe and taylors vintage look, whether showing up in sequins and of course, wearing their friendship bracelets, very excited, really. Its really kind. And i like that about her. And she has great music. Taylor is so loved in these parts that some were willing to flat out uproot themselves to make the show. Taylor swift grew up on a Christmas Tree farm, so as a true swiftie, im wearing a Christmas Tree. Others flying from as far away as spain to get their swiftie fix. Ive been a taylor swift fan for the past, like ten years. She only forgot to bring one thing. Ive been Walking Around for hours and id like two tickets. Can someone give me two tickets . It looks like an incredible evening. That was our zac sos reporting. We say theres still another hour in this giant set list. So we have to say taylor swift, make sure that her fans get the show that they paid for. And they are certainly getting that tonight. And it is more than a concert. It is an inspiring dance. Yes, it is. When you see the excitement some of these fans have, like the way they describe the feeling and just the excitement, saying its like the best day ever. Its really interesting to see just the kind of impact she has on her fans. All of these swifties, all right. Were going to turn things over to meteorologist bill martin now. Bill, our weekend is here and im sure its beautiful weather for day two of taylor swift at levis tomorrow night. Yeah, you know, the weathers really cooperating in the bay area. Weve had a pretty good run of relatively mild weather. Not so over the rest of the country, though. Youve been hearing about all the heat, especially down in phenix. You know, high temperatures today. Here they are very pleasant for this time of year. Quite frankly. We are concerned about fire danger, always an air quality, always. But these temperatures running a few degrees lower than you might expect for this time of year. So along the coast, a little bit of fog working its way back in. That tells us things are cooling off, doesnt it . And fortunate to have it considering you just go east of the sierra nevada, you get out in the basin there and it is hot, hot, hot down into utah and into arizona. You see the fog coming inland. Now its not going to get really far inland tomorrow, so its not going to be as cool as it was a couple of days ago. But it will be on i call it mild for this time of year. So if you have bay area weekend plans, you know, the weathers perfect. Not so the case in downtown phenix because they got record setting 100 plus 110 degree plus weather for the entire month. Essentially of july. These are each day marked out. And you can see some of these numbers. I mean, look at that, 18, 19 and 20 of july. Those are 118, 119, three days in a row of just ridiculous. Now, its not just there as in texas, as well. Its also in the Desert Southwest, out towards palmdale. And in indio and palm springs for us, weve got this setup where the High Pressure and the reason its so hot down in phenix is this big high sitting here right. Well, sitting right there and whats happened is its sort of bleeds into our area. And as it does, it heats the central valley. But every so often, like a couple of days ago, this low starts to push back on that high. Well heres whats going to happen the next couple of days. Were going to see the high begin to expend itself, especially into next week. And that means that were looking for middle end of next week, potential big heat here in the inland bay valleys and even around the bay. So thats later on next week. In the meantime, you got the bay area weekend right around the corner. Its here. I got the full forecast and it will not be sweltering like it is in phenix. All right, bill looks good. Well see you in a bit. New at ten. Some Community Members and activists in Alameda County are calling for officers in several Controversial Police shootings to be criminally charged. They held a block Party Tonight to spread the word and build support. Elissa harrington was there. She joins us from the newsroom with their message. Alyssa, what did they say . Well, christina gregg, they called this event justice in july to demand justice for loved ones killed by police. Now the da is reviewing some of these cases, but family members say the process is moving too slow and they want to put pressure on the da. Dozens gathered at lake merritt in oakland for a block party. Organizers called a justice in july event. They called on Alameda CountyDistrict Attorney pamela price to hold Police Officers accountable for Police Shootings and incustody deaths. We expect her to charge the cops who killed our loved ones. The event was organized by the families of Mario Gonzalez, Agustin Gonzalez and eric salgado. All three were killed at the hands of police in Alameda County. Mario gonzales died in alameda. Police custody in 2021. Body cam video shows the 26 year old was restrained face down on the ground for more than five minutes. Augustine or Augie Gonzalez was shot by Hayward Police in 2018. Police said they thought he was armed with a knife. It was later determined he had a razor blade. And erickson was shot and killed during a confrontation with the chp in oakland in 2020. Distric attorney pamela price announced earlier this year the office would reopen eight cases, including those of Mario Gonzalez and Augie Gonzalez. But family members said little has happened since pamela price ran on a platform of Police Accountability and holding cops accountable. And simply just reopening the cases isnt enough. Because if youre just reopening the cases, all youre doing is retraumatizing our family over and over again. And we need to see actual change happening. The das office did not choose to reopen erics salgados case. Salgado was shot 16 times when officers say he rammed his stolen vehicle into them during a failed traffic stop. His sister said they all want answers and will continue putting pressure on price to reexamine the case. Of course we want justice, you know, and of course, we want the Police Officers to get charged criminal charges. Um, and then for my brother to not be one of them, you know, im, im very humbled still, like still trying to fight and be and have a lot of faith because, as you know, i want her to know that were also here. I did reach out to the das office to find out whats next. And it is important to note that just because these cases were reopened, it does not necessarily mean that charges will be filed. I was also told the da would not be making a statement today, but would be revisiting these issues soon. Reporting live in the newsroom. Im Elissa Harrington ktvu fox two news. All right, alyssa, thank you. An oakland bakery owner is sharing his story of being and pistol whipped in the middle of the day. The man doesnt speak english very well, but he recognized the criminals demands right after he parked his car. Ktvu Crime Reporter henry lee spoke to him about what happened. Cell phone video shows two men attacking a victim on the ground, pistol whipping him and robbing him of his keys. It happened near the corner of east 12th street and Second Avenue in oaklands eastlake neighborhood at about 11 tuesday morning. The victim is the owner of a bakery in oaklands chinatown. He wished only to be identified as mr. Foo and did not want his face shown in mandarin. He said he had just parked his bmw and was hoping to meet his 93 year old mother for a meal when he was confronted by two men who pulled his door open and forced him to get out. One of them had a gun pointed at me. Another man also had a gun. He tells me at that moment he was very scared. They demanded his keys and phone and became violent. They hit me with the butt of the gun. My face was a little bruised and my ear was bleeding. The men ran off. One took off in this hyundai elantra. The other jumped into foos bmw. Fu says he wants oakland city and Police Leaders to take action. I want the government to look at the issue seriously. My concern is this will happen to other people. We should have harsher laws to punish these guys. The law is too lax. This is the latest incident in which criminals have targeted a victim of asian descent. Carl chan, himself an attack victim, is an oakland chinatown leader. We are finding that you know, both of the criminals they are targeting so called. They believe that they are easy targets. Mr. Fu tells me he feels extremely fortunate that his mother wasnt with him in the bmw when this happened. Any one with information is asked to Contact Oakland police in oakland. Henry lee ktvu fox two news. More stories still ahead. In fact, were going to go back and visit levis sta um for taylor swift concer stadium where zac sos has been all evening. You said youre an official swifty now. You got that bracelet on. What is it like out there . I am still wearing it. I feel like a real swifty fan. Now, i got to tell you, we are all the way at the other side of levis parking lot. And the cheers all throughout the show have just been absolutely deafening. These fans are just so devoted, singing along, having a great time. Around 60,000 fans showing up for tonights show. And one more show to go. These fans arriving here early to get their merchandise. Some of them set up here in their cars, having impromptu tailgates, even though theyre not really supposed to be doing that. There are actually some hotels back there. Were just looking up the Hotel Room Prices there around 1,000 a night. They have some tailgate seating going on at the hotel, which is legal. Some fans actually not even able to get into the show. Thats how expensive the tickets are online. Were looking them up. They cost around 700. They were around 3000, as high as 3000 a few days ago. They have come down quite a bit. Im joined by two two big fans right now. Theyre from Half Moon Bay. Im joined by reese and her friend. You are some of those fans you just couldnt get in, but you didnt want to miss the show. Yeah, we tried for a couple hours tonight trying to get last minute tickets, but they were over 700, so we just couldnt afford those. So what is your plan now . Now were just like, sitting on this little grass patch outside of levis stadium, just listening. And your mom, you were telling me shes in the car. Is she hard at work . Yeah, shes trying to find some tickets for tomorrow. And i bet you shes just like watching movies in the car, too. What do you love about taylor swift . I love that. Shes just, like, so real and, like, kind to all her fans and all the people that ive heard that worked for her and like, worked with her. Theyve just said that shes just an amazing person. So youre hoping to come back out tomorrow with your friend here, michelle, what do you love about taylor . Well, also at the same thing, like i heard, shes really nice and i just love her music. She has some like, country music, which i kind of like. And i like her newer songs, too. So and i see you guys, you werent able to get in, but you were able to snag some of your gear. What do you guys got here . Pull it out. Lets take a look. Im wearing one of them right here. And i thought this one was really cool and i needed a new hoodie anyway, what do you have over there . I have this, like, a quarter zip hoodie thing. And then i also have this t shirt with all her arrows on it. So i got to ask you, i do have a friendship bracelet on. What do you think . Is this authentic or do i have work to do . Its a perfect friendship bracelet. The perfect friendship bracelet. You heard it from her. We got to see their friendship bracelets, zac. I want to see their friendship bracelets. Let me see your friendship bracelets. I dont have any. They dont have friendship bracelets. I have one up. A taylor swift fan. I mean, so i got to ask you, you guys have been sitting outside listening to the music. Are you still having a good time . Yeah. Its so fun out here. How about you . Yeah, its really fun because i, like, just like, listening to her music. Even though were not like in the stadium and watching her, i still love just sitting and hearing her. Well, i tell you what, we are rooting for you guys to get tickets for the next show. Hope your mom is hard at work trying to grab one. I know, i know. They cost a lot, but seems like a great time. You know, theyre not the only ones i actually caught up with someone earlier who flew all the way from spain to get here. And the one thing she forgot to get was a ticket. So were rooting for her as well. For now, well send it to back to you guys in the studio. Yeah, these are global fans. And zac, i want to ask you, we see all of the cars behind you. Youve been there all afternoon with all of that traffic coming in. Describe the process. Was it smooth . Was everyone able to get where they needed to go . You know, its an interesting question because if you look at yesterday, there was around 2000 fans that showed up to get their merch and the lines were really, really, really long. Whats interesting about what weve seen here tonight is how orderly everything is. Certainly some lines, probably the longest lines where the cars getting in here, theyre just long lines trying to get into the parking lot. But then once we were here, they did a really good job of spreading out the security checkpoints. So you only had you know, probably around a dozen, two dozen people in each of those lines. So they were able to get in there really fast. And i tell you what, i dont think they were that worried about the lines anyway, because these people were just so excited to see taylor swift tonight. And many of these people, they were these tickets were gifts from their parents. Some of them were in their 40s and 50s. They just bought the gifts for themselves and theyve been waiting to see taylor swift , you know, for months now. Wow. You could just really hear the fact that you did say the screams are deafening. We can hear them in our on our ear here, even though youre so far away from levis, its pretty incredible. Zach, outside levis stadium. Zach thank you. Dont have too much fun. All right, we want to go back to our bay area weather. Lets check in with meteorologist bill martin. Bill, hows the weekend looking . Its looking good as we head into this friday. Of course, today, pretty nice. Tomorrow is going to follow suit as well. Sunday, temperatures gradually warming a little bit. I mentioned that low being kind of battling with the high. The low kind of one out the last couple of days. And then today and tomorrow, itll start to lose, which means its going to warm up a little bit. So none of this is earth shattering stuff. As a matter of fact, these are the highs from today. Pretty typical for this time of year, not above the average, maybe in a couple of spots below the average a little bit. Maybe a little above in redwood city. But were looking at temperatures tomorrow very similar fogs at the coast. Thats sort of the its not a big story because its that time of year. But fog back at the coast as we head into tomorrow morning, which will put fog pretty much everywhere. You see all the rain staying north and you may be picking out. Its hard to see now, but theres this big ridge of High Pressure thats been in the Desert Southwest thats going to budge a little bit in our direction, which could put a put a kibosh on this fog as we go into late next week, which would heat us up. But again, thats way down the road. But this fog has a place to be. Its going inland tonight into the inland bay valleys, not far inland, but itll sneak into the Livermore Valley out into walnut creek and up into san rafael. And thatll keep things a little cooler. So you wake up tomorrow morning, youve got fog, youre Stinson Beach, you had sun today, specifically you had sun. Tomorrow youre going to have fog in the morning. Some breaks in the afternoon, low seconds, coast side, mid 70 s around the bay upper 80s low 90s inland. Thats how tomorrow goes. Ill be back here with the full forecast coming up. Well look forward to it. Thank you. Well be in trump going toe to toe on stage with his top rival, Florida Governor ron desantis, and his fox madder than rivera reports the former president is also lashing out against the new federal charges against him. Donald trump wasting little time blasting special counsel jack smiths case over alleged mishandling of classified documents on social media. Today quote, this is textbook third world intimidation by rabid, lawless prosecutors and telling fox news digital in an exclusive interview. The charges were ridiculous in our country is suffering from doj abuse. The superseding indictment includes three new counts of obstruction and willful retention of National Defense information. The allegations focus on claims trump asked maralago employees to erase Surveillance Video just days after the fbi subpoenaed the security footage. While its unclear if any video was wiped, the indictment cites a conversation with the resorts property manager to another employee. The boss wanted the server deleted and asked, what are we going to do with the property manager . Carlos de oliveira has now been charged with obstruction and making false statements. What it looks like to me is they are trying to find someone to flip on trump. The new indictment also indicates smiths team now has a sensitive document. Trump allegedly displayed during a book interview at his new jersey estate in 2021 about us military plans to attack another country, which sources have said was iran. The indictment says trump returned the top secret document to the federal government in january 2022. But he told fox news last month the document did not exist. Youre quoted on the recording saying the document was secret. I said, no, no, i said i couldnt, could that . That wasnt a document. Bret there was no document. The dramatic new allegations add to the former president s legal jeopardy as he awaits a possible second federal indictment over his efforts to overturn the 2020 president ial election results. The grand jury today again taking no action. Fox news is also told that prelim security preparations are underway in the event that trump is indicted by the grand jury here in d. C. And has to make an appearance in federal court, it will be similar to what we saw last month when trump was indicted and arraigned in miami for alleged mishandling of classified documents. Alice wurtz went to San Franciscos pier 39 and spoke to business owners. Its the height of summer in the city and according to unofficial experts we spoke to, tourism is picking up back in San Francisco. Sam has been a cable car man for 20 years. As to where people are coming from. A lot of europeans are coming over italy. You know, denmark, all of them from everywhere. The cable car turnaround at powell and market is one indication that tourists are here. Last weekend was busy also, and the weekends before that, even all week, starting like tuesday. When i came back to work, it was a line out here. Spillover from taylor swift shows in the south bay brought kerstin and her nieces from canada to visit the city. While theyre here. Weve been planning this trip since november. Were going to ride a cable car. Were going to go to haiti ashbury fishermans wharf. Were going to a baseball game tonight. So everything five days in the city, shops and spending. Well, we went to all the department stores. We walked around everywhere around here. And we heard that theres some boutique shopping in haightashbury. So thats where were headed next. A pier 39 spokesperson reported restaurants and shops are seeing 95 of the visitors they saw in 2019. Chowder bowls and cocktails selling briskly. Haruka is visiting california from japan. We just got here today. Im excited to explore around beach. Yeah shopping. Yes shopping. And i want to ride on cable car. Yeah it looks interesting. This is first time. Blazing saddles bike rental owner jeff sears says his business depends on tourists. And lately, he has seen an uptick. European countries, south america, asia, lots of International Visitors from all over the world since 2019, when our domestic business was about not 80 of our business that it has flipped. And now International Tourism visitors seem to be about 80 and domestic 20. So its a were glad were having International Visitors, but it would be really nice to have more domestic. According to the sf travel association, currently almost half a Million Hotel room nights are already booked for next year, with 21 confirmed events at the moscone center. Scott shaw is accused of sexually assaulting several athletes, closing arguments are expected soon, allowing the jury to begin deliberations. Shaw has pleaded not guilty and his attorney has suggested that some of the comments made by female athletes have been exaggerated. Ktvu Bailey Ocarroll spoke with a former san jose state gymnast who says shaw sexually assaulted her. The case very emotionally loaded for me is to know how different the trajectory of my life went because of what happened. Its been seven years since amy leclaire was a gymnast at San Jose State University, and since she says she was sexually assaulted by her athletic trainer, scott shaw, to kind of look back on what happened, i think its difficult to think about. You know, this happened when i was 21. I didnt know at the time how much i was going to have to go through to get to this point. Now she wasnt alone. Shaw faced six federal charges for allegedly touching female athletes like leclair under their bras and underw pleaded not guilty. It kind of difficult to see and have that pass kind of resurrected. And so ive been kind of keeping it at arms length, to be honest. I feel like it has been. The memories are not pleasant. According to reports inside the courtroom, san jose state swim coach sage hopkins, who first reported the alleged abuse to university officials, says seven teen swimmers complained about shaw back in 2009. But according to statements in court, a University Investigation cleared shaw. He continued his work with athletes. Seven years later is when leclair says she was abused following an investigation by the department of justice. 5 million in settlements were paid out to some athletes, including leclair. But this case was complicated because the statute of limitations has passed for many athletes like leclair. Because of that, she and others who accused shaw of assaulting them were not invited or legally able to testify. I know so little about whats going on, even though it was so personal to me. Im really seeing everything in the real time that the world sees it. No matter if shaw is found guilty or not, leclaire says it wont turn back the clock in reverse. The alleged abuse. I dont feel like really anything can compare it to what i kind of had to deal with emotionally from a recovery standpoint. What i had to deal with financially instead. Leclaire now a mom of two whos dedicated her career to Mental Health care, chooses to look forward. Im Bailey Ocarroll, ktvu fox two news. Oaklands Community Police review agency says understaffing and lack of resources are making it difficult to review Police Misconduct cases. At a meeting last night, the agencys executive director, mac muir, told city council that within the last year five investigators have left because of heavy workload. The agency now has just three investigators handling more than 600 complaints against the Police Department each year. Muir says the Computer Systems are also outdated, making it difficult to complete investigations. Coming up, the demands to declare a public emergency over crime in oakland. More on that story over rampant crime. Many of that meeting accused prices reluctance to prosecute criminals for the spike in crime. Cctvs brooks rose has a deeper dive into some of the chronic issues facing oakland. How do we stop this hamster wheel of crime . Because thats really the question in Oakland Community concerns over rampant crime have reached a boiling point. What are we doing to address this . And how do we solve this . Nobody feels safe after a packed Public Safety meeting in montclair, the naacp sent out a letter thursday calling leaders to unite and declare a state of emergency because everyone is in danger. We need help in our community. Its a Public Safety crisis, the letter reads in part, failed leadership, including the movement to defund the police. Our District Attorneys unwillingness to charge and prosecute people who murder and commit life threatening, serious crimes and the proliferation of antipolice rhetoric have created a heyday for oakland criminals is everybody. Everybodys elected official and we have to make sure that we hold everyone accountable. District attorney pamela price says shes disappointed the naacp would take a false narrative and previously stressed prosecuting criminals requires evidence that her staff can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Obviously our call volumes are very high. I wish i had more officers. I really do. But with record calls, increasing crime and a staffing shortage, some city officials are looking for key solutions. Criminal investigations of serious crimes and Cease Fire Program to prevent violence. Those are High Priorities and we should not cut staffing in those two areas. We should not cut staffing in those two areas. Dan kalb was the only City Council Member at thursdays meeting. He says there needs to be a comprehensive approach and supports deploying chp officers and more fbi agents to city streets. He like many, want to reduce the revolver door. What are the options for consequences . Even if we cant have a full on prosecution or even if we dont want to send juveniles away for a long time . What are we going to do instead of that as opposed to doing nothing . Ive reached out to the Oakland Police department to better understand its strategy so far, i have not heard back another Community Safety meeting is scheduled for Early September in east oakland in the newsroom. Brooks jarocz ktvu fox two news. All righty. Taking a look at the fog rolling in quickly. Its not sped up. It kind of feels like it is. Or salesforce off in the distance. This shot taken from the sutro tower so well above the fog which is looks like its the marine layer is about 900,000ft deep. Maybe maybe 1100. By tomorrow morning. Itll be a little thicker. And that means its going to be in your bay area neighborhood as you get going. And if youre on the coast and seeing santa cruz or pescadero or Half Moon Bay or Stinson Beach or or bodega bay, youre going to be seeing it, as you know. Right. Which is not atypical for this time of year. Its exactly what youd expect and thats what youre going to get. These are the high temperatures from today. They are about where they were yesterday. Perhaps its a little bit warmer in some places. Not much, though. And then the current temperatures and what you can see here with the current temperatures or see the greens, thats the sea breeze i showed you the fog i showed you. Thats fog. Right. But the sea breeze doesnt have to be fog. It can just be a higher humidity, cooler content, air. And so that green represents that this the fact that the cooler air is infiltrating the inland bay valleys and you can see where its protected right up in the up towards fairfield, up towards winters and those areas, the fog, the cool clouds cant get over that coastal range. Temperatures running a little warmer than they were last night. Thats because it was a little warmer than it was yesterday. Today, just about 4 or 5 degrees. This game right now is the high and the low. The low has the last couple of days has been closer to us. And so it warmed us our cool this off a little bit. And then the last 12, 24 hours, the high has bumped the low back. So its just push and pull thing going on with the high and the low. When the low gets close, its cooler and its only only 100 miles or a couple of hundred miles closer. And when the high builds out towards the west and the low goes away, we get warmer. So whats going to happen . The high is kind of pushing the low away. So were getting slightly warmer, but not a substantial warm up at this point. Fog along the coast, as you know, kind of breezy conditions out at ocean beach. Its foggy as it often is this time of year. Again, the shot shows it coming in. Its moving in pretty quickly, too, because youve got some pretty high temperatures inland. Right. So youve got a temperature gradient thats working with the cool coast and the warm inland. So the cool air wants to flow to the warm air. So tomorrow morning, when you get up, look at all that. So its pretty far inland. So most most of us have fog when we wake up. Burns back little slower than today, but then daytime highs tomorrow go right back to where they were. And again, you can see the sea breeze kind of in that ringed in greens and yellows, the oranges and reds further to the inland. So its gonna be a nice day tomorrow. Its going to be really nice. Its just not going to be quite as hot as we were a and tuesday, 90 in fairfield, 91, in antioch. A nice day tomorrow with five day forecast representing temperatures that are kind of hovering, you know, this top tier numbers this time of year. The top tier at the top, i would guess i would think would be mid 90s. Its not hard to have upper 90s and we might see that next week in terms of these these numbers. But in the middle tier you got the 70 thats the bay and then coast. So a nice looking forecast. Air quality is not too bad really is good or pretty good for this time of year. And fire danger always bad, but pretty manageable considering what time of year it is. Ill see you back here at 11 00. All right. Sounds good. Bill thank you. We have tonights Winning Mega Millions numbers with 940 million at stake tonight. This jackpot just keeps growing. Coming up, how tonights drawing will still ke someone
