According to the Health Department, middle and high schools can start the week of november 9th. Elementary schools have been cleared to open since october 13th. The owner says business has dropped and it is time now to liquidate. About 20 people will lose their jobs. Three years later coffee Neighborhood Park has been rebuilt, officially welcoming the neighborhood on wednesday. Seeing it all come back with such a great feeling. His family, along with those who live in the nearly 1000 homes rebuilt since the tubs fire, are now able to enjoy the dog park, garden and picnic areas. There were some very pinnacle things. The first time someone moved back into coffee park was huge. Finishing our home was huge. Now it is really fullcircle. Reporter coffee Neighborhood Park was built more than 30 years ago and Officials Say despite multiple delays, including the impacts from additional wildfires, the work was completed in an expedited amount of time. A free apartment to help survivors of a wildfire get back on their feet. The program that still has apartment available. Up first, the recurring problem of illegal fireworks in san jose and the citys admission that they need to come up with a new tactic. We are taking a look at hurricane zeta in the forecast. The San Jose City council has voted to come up with a new way to enforce the citys ban on illegal fireworks. There were 6600 reports of illegal fireworks this year. That is nearly triple the number compared to last year. The mayor and Council Members have voted to reevaluate how citations are being issued. Some ideas include giving police more flexibility and siding people and updating their online reporting tool. A family that lost everything during the glass fire in santa rosa last month is getting free temporary housing. Reporter Jennifer Davis and her children are adjusting to life in San Francisco. They lost their home in santa rosa a month ago when the glass fire destroyed most everything they owned. I didnt know what to grab or what to do. Reporter davis shows me photos of whats left of the trailer and house they lived in, property belonging to relatives. She and her husband rob smith stayed in hotels with their four Young Children until they heard about a program called home bridge, founded by apartment list, an Online Rental company. Here is the living room. Reporter this is cell phone video of the apartment the program provided for the family. They moved in less than two weeks ago. The program is a partnership with Property Management companies, nonprofits and others to provide free temporary housing for fire survivors and others in need of help. The family will be able to stay here until the end of the year. We literally dont have anything else. It has given us two months of peace of mind. Reporter the Program Manager says there are more than a dozen units currently available for fire survivors in San Francisco and the south bay. We are hoping to help them with one less giant burden on their shoulders. Reporter the family tells me they are grateful for the help, a bridge to the future. When you lose everything like that and there is a place to go that can help you it still hasnt fully had us , you know. Because the repercussions are still going on and on and on. It is still affecting us pretty deeply. Reporter god works as a house painter and hopes to save up enough to start over in santa rosa. The Program Manager tells me, so far, home bridge has provided temporary housing for 10 families displaced by the recent wildfires. Hurricane zeta is not Tropical Storm zeta with 70 mile an hour winds. It has dropped quickly in the last 20 to 30 minutes and it is cooking now, moving 31 miles an hour toward the northeast. That is the end of that in terms of tropical activity. It could still be a Tropical Storm in the tropical disturbance, or depression. Then it will fall apart be a lot of rain for the northeast part of the country. Around here it has been really nice, the winds have been dead, the red flag warnings have not been an issue and thats how its going to stay. We have a good strong High Pressure zone and a little bit of patchy fog trying to format the coast. Just a nice day tomorrow. Again, the fire danger is always high in the total reins, its not a red flag warning, but fire weather. You should think of it that way because until we get rain we are worried about fire. But without the wind, the other thing about fire is even when its hot and dry you dont have wind in the fire can be maintained or contained. You know that, right . You get big wins at 20 to 30, 40, 50 miles an hour, firefighters will tell you they are not fighting fires, they are just getting out of the way. Thats what the winds will be overnight. Thats what we dont have now and what we are not going to see for little while, especially what i can tell. Im looking at seven, eight days without any kind of indication of a wind event, which is good to hear. Overnight lows have been chilly and we are seeing temperatures, last night we got some mid30s in the north bay valleys and low 30s. I think that would be the way it is again tonight. But we will see some temperatures like santa rosa will be 39, klayton mega 39, 42 in fairfield. I think there will be a lot of upper 30s, especially in the hinterlands. The forecast hive tomorrow, yells are 70s. Look at all of them, thats what the microclimates do. They just get washed out in the fall and get the big hot inland coast. Now its just warm everywhere from the coast to inland. Look for the patchy fog, it shouldnt last long.
