Temperatures have cooled off and in fact the bill of a chill in the air for tonight and it actually feels like fall finally, lack of rainfall we are still talking about a fire danger here in the bay area. The red flag warning is still in place for portions of the bay area and this is in place for the north bay hills and east bay hills and the east bay valleys of the Santa Cruz Mountains had expired and the wind could be gusting for the Higher Elevations may be over 30 mph, but this will be a developing concern especially as we head into sunday night and monday morning and a fire weather watch begin sunday morning and for all of these areas, especially for the north bay hills and the east bay hills, we could have gusts approaching 50 or 60 or possibly 70 mph so this potentially could be a serious situation by sunday and into monday. Right now we do have some patchy fog coastside and partly cloudy skies across the bay with temperatures in the upper 40s to the upper 50s to right around 60 degrees and here is a look at San Francisco where i suspect some patchy fog will move back into the picture overnight. Definitely a chill in the air in the morning for friday so you do want to bundle up with the readings in the 40s and 50s. Why is it coolingoff . It is the area of low pressure scooting in and moving in reverse from the east and it will cool off and it will set up the next wind event especially by sunday night and into monday morning. For tomorrow, temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s and the warm spots around 80 degrees and we could have some patchy coastal fog with partly sunny skies around the bay and more sunshine inland for friday forecast and definitely the heat is out of here. The temperatures cool off a little bit into the weekend, but unfortunately, the fire weather watch which is in place by sunday morning will eventually turn into a red flag warning and something to be watching closely as we head into the weekend. Coming up, the nfl had coach who gives a major gift to his alma mater. We have details next in sports. I didnt choose this job because it was easy. But i cant say i expected this.
