We have had over the last month, the lm you complex fire in sonoma now is now 90 percent contained. It has burned 567 square miles, making it the fourth largest wildfire in california history. Five people died in the fire and more than 1400 buildings, mostly homes were destroyed. Cal fire has lifted all evacuation warnings in the Santa Cruz Mountains with the ccu lightning complex fire started more than a month ago. That fire is now 95 percent contained. 135 square miles and burned, there still some areas inside the fire lines that are flaring up from time to time, so cal fire crews will remain in the area until those are all under control. Investigators, still looking into what caused that crash. Three people, including a twoyearold are in the hospital this noontime in critical conditions after an overnight car crash in antioch. The contra costa fire battalion chief said the car was heading north along the way, just before midnight. It was behind his fire crew. They saw the car slammed into a tree north of deer valley high school. The child was taken to Childrens Hospital in oakland while the adults were taken to John Muir Medical Center in walnut creek. Theres no indication of just how fastin t has left one man dead, and woman is in the hospital now with lifethreatening injuries. Oakland police now offering up over roared for affirmation as they continue to search for the man who hit and injured two officers with his car. It started as a nonemergency call, just after 7 00 yesterday morning at 12 and castro in the downtown oakland area. The woman called police after she said a car that looked like it had hit a tree. We really believe that where we are in the red, in the community, is not the best time to open our school. Reporter Santa Clara County is in the states red tier category for covid19 infections, that means cases are no longer widespread, but are still substantial. Under state guidelines, k12 schools can reopen for in Person Instruction when counties are in the red tier. In fact, just this week several private schools and santa clara the classroom for the First Time Since march. The countys largest Public School district will not go that route just yet. A majority of the school that have open and Santa Clara County are private schools, so they are obviously more resourced and in better position to be able to bring back small, groups. We need support with those things. We want to be able to have regular access to testing. Our students need regular access, so we can make sure people are safe. Here it is this more forecast in the air quality actually not too bad today, and not too bad tomorrow as we take this and put this forecast model into motion. Into the weekend, we are going to see a little bit more minority flow set up, and that could push a little bit of some smoke up and to portions of the north bay.
