Gray skies blanketing the bay area all across the bay yet again. The difference this time is that what we are seeing the equality across our region is the worst it has been all week. Good evening. I am cristina rendon. Thank you for joining us. As most people are well aware the unhealthy conditions are caused by smoke from the states historic wildfires. Take a look outside. The smoky hazy skies stretched the length of the entire bay area. Is is a live picture from san jose where you can hardly make out anything in the background. The scene is no different at San Francisco international airport. The smoke lingers over the control tower although no flights were impacted. Even here in oakland this is a live look of the estuary. It is hazy making it impossible to see across the bay to San Francisco which is normally clearly visible on a regular day. Air quality sensors across the bay area showed todays air is indeed worse than any other day this week. Take a look at this time lapse. It shows the unhealthy red areas make way for purple which is very unhealthy. The purple means an air quality index of more than 201200. Today marks the 22nd consecutive spare the air day and it has been extended through monday. We doubled the previous record
