The vineyard in livermore will open Labor Day Weekend for members and later to the general public. S not something have been able to do or entertain since march. Gyms can now operate outside. Hotels can open to the general public, until now they were for Central Business only. These openings are allowed because covid19 hospitalizations are down. The Contra Costa Health services are encouraging businesses to consider adjusting the reopening plans, because of wildfire smoke. Some streets in San Franciscos tenderloin district will be closed to make room for outdoor fun spot for children to play. Several blocks of turk street will be shut down for cars tomorrow for the latest launch of the citys play streets program. Tenderloin has higher per capita population of children in any neighborhood in San Francisco, the play Street Program comes five months after the city had shut down the parks and playgrounds in the area. We are hearing about a potential Coronavirus Vaccine that was approved for use in china last month. The Reuters News Agency reports that the drug is called corona vaccine, program and china to vaccinate high risk groups such as medical staff. The drug is produced by a state owned pharmaceutical company. Seven vaccines are in final trial stages around the world including for that are in china. Czu august lightning complex fires fires are at 77,000 square miles. It is burning in several counties including alameda and santa clara county. Or people who were forced to evacuate are now allowed to return home in the fire area, evacuation orders were lifted yesterday including and the city of Scotts Valley. The fires burned 127 square miles in the santa cruz mountains. Containment was 24 percent. The states largest fire is currently lnu lightning complex fires. It is burn 578 square miles and areas that include sonoma, napa, and solano counties. Containment is at 35 percent, but evacuation orders have been issued for Colusa County near the lake county line, almost 1100 homes and businesses have been destroyed. In the woodworth fire at the national seashore, that remains that eight percent containment at this point. The fire is burning west of highway one, it has consumed 4 1 2 square miles, but no homes have been lost. The marin county sheriff says it is smoky and he is asking people to avoid visiting the coast this weekend. Most of the people that had to evacuate their homes in the San Mateo County area are now allowed to return. Highway one, highway 84 and skyline boulevard have also reopened. The firefighters say the improving weather conditions and reinforcements from around the state have helped them increase containment. A lot of people are dying to get back in here. A lot of people have things to take care of. They are worried about their homes, and looters, so it is nice to come back in. At a virtual town hall yesterday, people who have been through the tragedy of losing a home had shared their experiences. The group had united policyholders formed after the firestorm 30 years ago.
