Sean murphy, and will disappear with Stephen Piscotty turning into an rbi machine. A clean single, Marcus Simeon scoring, piscotty makes it a 1 1 game. A couple minutes pitcher luis garcia, a wild pitch with metal signup there. Ramon marciano with a 2 1 lead. They continue with the best record in the american league. I tell you what, i have never seen a day like what transpired with the giants and dodgers over in San Francisco. A very unusual day for them as well. While the as play the giants and dodgers and San Francisco decided to postpone their game in the shooting of jacob blake. How long do you think this boycott will last . At first glance, it should be short you would think. Because lets face it, in sports is all about the money. But the strange thing, almost just a surreal situation in San Francisco, take a look at this video. Obviously we are all used to having the fans in the stands, but this is less than an hour s not a player in sight prior to the first an official decision had yet to be announced before finally a joint statement was released and the game was postponed. There was talk about a possible doubleheader tomorrow. Here is the statement throughout our country, sport has been night powerful vehicle towards change. We proudly join our players in the shared call for more equitable and just society. Here is the giants manager gabe kapler amplifying on that. Some things i think are just bigger then sports and i dont think it should require athletes needing to boycott playoff games to remind us black lives matter and Police Brutality is unacceptable and that systemic racism needs to be eliminated. Gabe kapler of the giants. As i said, there was an earlier report they might play a doubleheader tomorrow, the giants and dodgers. I have not heard that yet confirmed. It all started, of course, with a very different sport rather early in the morning our time because it transpired back in orlando. You are talking about the nba. Its not just baseball, its the nba playoffs. Three playoff games are canceled today because the players refused to go on the court. Are we looking at the possibility of the nba playoffs being canceled altogether . At this hour i would say thats a very real situation. The chain of events started, of course, in the bubble where the nba playoffs have continued and the Milwaukee Bucks, obviously coming from the state of wisconsin, the epicenter for this latest episode of violence. They refused to take the court for the scheduled playoff game. The big differential here is when the players made that announcement the league, the nba , very progressive throughout this change in our society, they backed them. It was shortly after that two other playoff games were postponed. Players and League Officials were meeting late tonight. It was not seen as a very progressive meeting. Reports tonight have the lakers and clippers voting topped out. I can tell you this, there wont be any playoff games tomorrow. And if that clippers lakers story proves to be true and they have decided not to continue, we very well might not see anymore nba basketball. And postponing a game, this all comes four years to the day that Colin Kaepernick took a knee and protest during the preseason game versus the green bay packers. Talk about how far things have come. Its almost unbelievable. Ironically, four years ago, as you say to the very day, Colin Kaepernick initiated a movement in the sports world that may be still in was empower athletes to think for themselves and realize how much exposure they get. And in a way his actions made it possible for athletes to know their power and take advantage of it. I think we saw a very strong example of that today. Like i said, a day like no other in the world of sports. Ive been doing it a long time, sports gusting aint what it used to be on any level, thats for sure. And you wonder about the pressure they are facing in the wake of just how much money is at stake. We have a little bit more from you coming up in about 25 minutes, thank you.
