Things were pretty bunch up when the final round of todays pga championship got started, but then a guy with a local angle jumped out of the pack. The leaderboard was at one time 7 deep on the back 9, and then cal product Collin Morikawa made his move. Perfect with a chip at 14 that he had grabbed the lead by a stroke. Shortly after that, paul casey made a birdie putt at 16 and joined morikawa in the lead, and then came a decision that will go down in major tournament lore. Morikawa decides to go for the green with his drive on the par 416th. Morikawa right on the money, setting himself up for an eagle putt. When he made the putt, he jumped in front by two strokes and was able to cruise in the rest of the way, finishing with a six under par 64. At just 23 years of age, he had his first major championship. His only misstep of the day was with the trophy. Not a lot of 23yearolds have the mouse that morikawa showed in todays final round. The astros were trying not to be swept by the as, and Robbie Grossman got the as on the board first in the second inning. Its 10, and a good sign for the as. They are 111 this year when they hit a home run, matt olson joined the party in the third, his 5th homer of the year, a threerun shot, and its 40 oakland, but the as werent infished. The next pitch was to matt chapman, he hit his 4th of the season. The as would go on to win 72. Their 9th straight win. In the 7th inning, loriano gets hit for the second time in the game and third time in this series. The astros hitting coach, alex, who he singles out in the dugout, and then it evolves into what nobody is supposed to be doing during a pandemic. The pitcher and catcher were both thrown out of the family. No astros were ejected. You can expect fines and or suspensions will be coming. Obviously we dont want to get into a brawl like that, and we understand the protocol. He doesnt go over there unless something completely offensive came out of that dugout, and i think the league will know who that is and that person should get suspended. So hopefully thats the case. At dodgers stadium this afternoon, gabe kapler saw a nice performance by his starting pitcher and a late lead by his team. Dodgers and giants still scoreless in the 5th. A single up the middle, scoring sandoval and slater. Its 20. The giants took that lead to the 7th, but then after gomez gave way to rogers, pollack found the cardboard people in left. And just like that. The dodgers were if front. And then betts put this first pitch he sees among those same people who havent moved. Thats a threerun shot. Suddenly a close game is comfortable, as l. A. Wins 62. The dodgers take two out of three for the giants its on to houston. Draymond green is doing little bit of money lighting for tnts nba broadcast, and it cost him some money. I need my man to go somewhere we where he can play great basketball all the time and win, because hes that kind of player. Are you tampering . Maybe.
