School leaders have to present the reopening plans to their local health officer. Health officers will consider the health and safety plan and look at their coronavirus status. They will consult with the state Health Department to accept or deny the waiver. The application has to have the support of peer groups, and community groups. Right now parents are split on whether or not they want their kids back in class. If today was the day we were opening in the full faceto face setting, 50 of our families would not be sending their children back. Districts private and Charter Schools that want to apply for this waiver have to make sure the counties dont have it then 200 cases per 100,000 people in the last 14 days.
