They were forced to issue those shutdown orders after the county landed on the states watch list for three days in a row. San mateo was the last bay area county to close most of its indoor businesses once again. This new health order requires hair and nail salons, barbershops, gyms, restaurants, and other businesses in San Mateo County to shut down or move their operations outside if they can. The state says san mateo is seeing Community Transmission related to social gatherings without proper physical distancing, and people not wearing masks, as well as higher exposure for people whose work involves person to person contact. We can go outside, and its very difficult. Its not i think its more safe inside, because weve got a air purifiers. We have doors open. One customer at a time in the place. Just a harrowing experience, as usual. Lots of smoke. Lots of fear. We have the horses. Our entire family lives within a mile radius of where the evacuations took place, and we all just kind of chose to hang out. Reporter waiting and watching, and wondering in the fire will advance or retreat, hoping the winds dont pick up. Thats what so many are doing here on this monday afternoon, like brian dodge, sitting by the side of the road in his chevy pickup. Pretty amazing the way they are dropping the water, the aerial assault they are doing. They have been coming up the canyon. So ive been trying to keep an eye ons, so it i can start packing up when it starts going down a little farther. Reporter back live now, you can still see the smoke. That is about 5,000 or 6,000 feet up in those mountains. The good news is that no homes are immediately threatened. The bad news, though, is that temperatures still approaching 100 degrees here frank, that the winds are starting to pick up a little bit. We know from reporting on so many of these fires, the wind is definitely our earnmy in these hot, try conditions. Frank, back to you. All right, phil, thank you. Were looking at the weather now. Now, its going to cool off the next few days, as it did today. Tomorrow and wednesday will be some of the cooler days. 86 in walnut creek right now. 92 in fairfield. Its three degrees cool per livermore, but warm are in the in napa. Tomorrow, it should be minus numbers, cooler numbers, all law toout the area when i do that comparison from the day before. I do that comparison, because think weather is important to see the trends that youre looking at. When you see that temperatures are dropping, or increasing, that usually a trend that has fallen. So the plan the next couple of days is going to be for this cool be trend. The fog is going to thicken up, and were going to see temperatures staying on the cool side with numbers in the hot spots that were there in the low 90s, into the mid80s, so that helps out a bunch with the fire danger and air quality.
