We had reports of a rescue and unaccounted residents, we switched to rescue and fought fire and did searches for victims simultaneously. We removed one victim out of the house that was unharmed and searched for the second victim that was found at a different location. So the two people were okay. Crews also rescued two adult dogs and a litter of puppies. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Today marks one year since the mass shooting at the gilroy garlic festival. The board of supervisors will decide whether or not to fine people and businesses who dont follow the countys Health Orders. Citations could be issued for not wearing masks, gathering in big groups and maintaining distance among other things. Contra costa county has been on the watch list for weeks because of risks and hospitalizations. Giving out tickets is more proactive during the current plate process. The board would follow the foot press of both counties since both vetted for similar laws. The officer could issue the fine or a violation notice and give the person or business two days to fix the problem. If it is not connected, they can be fine. Fines breakdown like this. People can be fined 100 for the first violation. 200 for the second, and 500 for each additional violation. The cost for businesses is higher. It is 250 for the first violation, 500 for the second and 1,000 for each additional violations. The law will need four fixed votes to go into effect. Now this morning, gilroys mayor and members of the city council, will speak before racing the flag with the hashtag gilroy strong that will be streamed on the citys facebook page. 5 00 in the evening, nor memorial event will the event i it will be streamed online on the citys youtube page in order to limit the number of people gathering. The goal of is that event is to recommend the victims, honor First Responders and help Community Community mourn the event that happened at the garlic festival one year ago today. Thank you. Well, Santa Cruz County is one of 37 in the States Coronavirus watch lists. That means starting today, gyms, fitness centers, and indoor shopping malls must modify businesses or shut down again. Outdoor dining in stores with direct access to the outside do not have to make changes. Most personal care is still allowed as long as it takes place outside. More than 100 workers at the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk are lieu their jobs. The boardwalk is struggling financially after it was shut down partially for more than four months because of the pandemic.
