There are 32 counties on the States Coronavirus watchlist including seven bay area counties, alameda, contra costa, marin, napa, santa clara, alano and noma counties. Last night Santa Clara County was added to the list because its three day average of coronavirus patients went up more than 10 . In fact, its three day average is up nearly 20 . The governor said he gave an explanation about the states reopening process being rolled back. We are moving back into a modification mode of our original stayathome order, but doing so utilizing what is commonly referred to as a dimmer switch, not an on and off switch. He says california stayat home order was always designed to fluctuate and be modified based on information and trendlines. Alameda county supervisors will hold a teleconference asking the state for special permission for Outdoor Dining. All other bay area counties did this weeks ago. It is 4 39, store clerk in alameda is in jail, suspected of murder after a deadly shooting of a customer. It happened late saturday night at the Circle K Store at webster street in buena vista avenue. The store clerk pulled out a gun and shot the customer suspected of being items from the store. Investigators says store Surveillance Video is among the evidence indicating this deadly shooting was not selfdefense. It was determined that a robbery had not occurred and that level of selfdefense was not justified for the crime that was occurring. The 26yearold store clerk is accused of carrying a concealed weapon during that incident. The third of july 5th along cruise road near gilroy. It burned about 8 1 2 square miles and destroyed one building. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. In san jose, firefighters battled the small vegetation fire near old bayshore highway. It started just after 3 00 yesterday afternoon. It there was a temporary closure of highway 101, but the lanes reopened about 4 30. No reports of any injuries or damage. In santa rosa, firefighters contained a grass fire that came real close to homes. This fire started around 2 00 yesterday afternoon along stony point road near newell dear lane. The flames burned right up to some backyard fences and no homes were damaged. Theres no word on how the fires started and no injuries have been reported. Federal and state agencies who oversee wilderness areas are trying to restrict campfires to cut down the threat of wildfires. Campfires outside of designated fire and in some areas and they will likely be banded more parts of the state. Kim fire restrictions may extend into the fall. A new study suggest that last years ridgecrest earthquake increase the likelihood of a major quake along the san andreas fault. The study says in the next 12 months there is a 2. 3 chance of a 7. 5 or greater magnitude quake on the garlock fault. That runs along the north edge of the mojave desert. The authors of the studies they that could trigger a quake on the san andreas fault, a major earth quake on that section would could affect los angeles and the surrounding area.
