That is going to hold for a couple of days, but we are going to see a warmup soon as we head into the end of the week yet again. Same with oakland traffic, it does look easier as you drive through. Lets go back to the headlines. We continue to follow a wildfire that is burning near gilroy. Crews say that the cruise fire as it is called the 50 contained. This printed the more than 1000 anchors. Reporter this started as a structure fire. They were first called to the area for a building that was burning but those flames spread to nearby vegetation, igniting this large wildfire. I want to show you some live pictures from the scene. You can see the sky very smoky, by photographer who was there says he saw some sheds burned, some fences, a lot of vegetation that has burned. Cal fire and agencies of from across the bay area have been working on it to contain this fire so you are actually looking at san jose firefighters there. So far, water tenders have been truck to the scene. Some aggressive air attacks have been happening where they call us a wind driven fire. It was a structure fire around 2 30 sunday afternoon. Several homes had to be evacuated, farm animals removed out of the area. The people who live along kenyatta road were told to leave because flames were moving toward highway 152. People who live between san felipe road were also evacuated. We have had some precautionary evacuation, there were probably 50 or 60 families right now that are staying elsewhere tonight. Reporter and Evacuation Center has been set up at the gilroy senior center. We are expecting to get an update from cal fire any minute. At this point we only know of two structures that have burned. It happened saturday night, just off ingalls street in the Bayview District. Investigators say jace young was at a Friends Birthday Party when you went outside to watch fireworks. Thats when he was hit in the chest by a stray bullet. He died a short time later at a hospital. His family devastated , said he was an innocent victim of senseless gun violence. He was so smart. They had each other then crashed into lake coeur dalene about 2 00 yesterday afternoon. Eight people, including the passengers and the crew were in those two planes. The sheriff Department Says two bodies have been recalled coverage and it is not believed there were any survivors. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The cruise fire has burned nearly 2 and half square miles since it began yesterday afternoon. There are evacuation orders along kenyatta road were 60 families are being impacted right now. Two structures of burnt at this point. Cruise cant say if the structures where homes are other buildings. Fire crews are still fighting the park fire which started saturday night near Anderson Reservoir down in santa clara county. Many people had to be evacuated but they are now back inside their homes. It has burned 350 acres and is now 70 contained. Bay area firefighters we talked with said they thought this was the busiest fourth of july weekend they had ever seen. We responded to and extinguished 110 fires. 108 of those fires were the direct result of fireworks. Firefighters in Contra Costa County say there were 67 fire cause and a five hour period saturday night. One of those fires threaten 20 homes in pittsburgh. In addition to finding the flames, they had to help others who were injured. California is facing a severe shortage of firefighting crews made up of prison inmates. The Sacramento Bee reports fewer than half the state inmate crews are available because of covid19 outbreaks in Northern California presence. That includes the prison in Lassen County where inmates are trained to serve on the fire lines. Inmates generally serve as hand crews using chainsaws and shovels to crate fire breaks when fires threaten property and neighborhoods. The time is 8 33. These people dont know what they did to our family when they did this. When they took him away from us. But we went justice. We want something done. You will answer for this. In a statement, San Francisco police chief said senseless violence like this that could so tragically climb that life of a small child. He says the department is determined to find the suspect. Eight people are believed to have been killed in idaho when two planes collided in midair and crashed into a lake. The planes hit each other and then crashed into lake coeur dalene about 2 00 yesterday afternoon. It people including passengers and crew were on those two planes. The local Sheriffs Office says two bodies have been recovered from the lake and it is not believed to that there are any survivors. The cause of the crash is under investigation. A man has been arrested who is accused of being pulling out a gun. Police say 30yearold joseph yelled all lives matter yesterday as he drove past the mural. Police say he then stopped his car and got into an argument with someone at the site and pulled out a loaded gun. He was arrested a short time later.
