The driver reported being surprised on saturday night when encountering a group of more than 100 filling the streets of sonoma avenue. She became scared and panicked and had items thrown at her vehicle. She then tried to get through the crowd as quickly as possible. Reporter this is the Vantage Point of a bicycle escort leading protesters. A reflective sleeve and headlight lighting the way. The cyclist tries to get the driver to slow down. The vehicle slows briefly and then accelerate. From our standpoint, we had done nothing to provoke her. Video shows early encounters that night where drivers pulled through no problem. The incident was the only reported altercation that until this incident occurred. Police say there are no reports of injuries. The driver eventually pulled over to report the incident and said she was assaulted. Than the subject on a bicycle, according to her punched her through the open window and took off. The driver described as female has not been arrested. Police are investigating allegations from both sides. The peaceful dynamic was billed as familyfriendly and it changed when the suv rolled to the scene. The driver endangered lives and needs to be held accountable. I need her to be charged.
