The latest in our developing story about an suv, falling hundreds of feet from a bay area bridge to the ground below. Ktvu Sara Zendehnam joins us live now, and all four people in that suv have died. Two women, between the ages of 19 and 22 years old, were killed in this crash, according to the chp. It happened at about a 40, tuesday night. The driver of an infinity suv, somehow lost control while on eastbound 80 along the parking is bridge, carquinez bridge, crashed on top of a stationary train before landing on the ground. This is your standard concrete wall you see along the freeway, along the Center Median and along shoulder freeways. It looks like it is a standard height. Reporter the car fell into a commercial facility, where several train cars were parked. The chp says the area isnt open to the public, and no one who works at the facility was hurt. The health order, which has been amended also allows as many as 100 people to attend funerals and indoor religious services, as long as their social distancing. This order also allows swimmers to share pools, one person per 75 square feet. And on july 1st, Contra Costa County expects to reopen dying in restaurants, bars, gyms, and hotels. And starting friday, Solano County will add nail salons, tattoo parlors, and similar businesses to reopen. That includes places that offer facials, waxing, other skincare, and massage therapies. But they have to follow the state guidelines for personal care services. San mateo county now has a state certification with more local control for its reopening plan that allows reopening of dining restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, hair salons and barbershops, and we could find out as soon as this week when these businesses can reopen. The Justice Department says two men who shot and killed officer patrick underwood, are part of an far right extremist group, charged with the death of Damon Gutzwiller of santa cruz. Federal Officials Say Steven Carrillo was part of the extremist group, to glue. Steven carrillo used his own blood to write messages on one of the cars he carjacked. Authorities say numbers of the group say, boogaloo, a controversy at livermore farmers market, we told you about this yesterday on mornings on 2. The vendor says the manager told him to stop passing out pride flags. He said he had no problem last year, but last sunday the man told him passing out the flags was a violation of a vendor agreement. He says the safety and liability concerns were among the reasons. Two weeks ago, he said all counts City Council Members said it was necessary to have the police chief report on use of force in the department. That response led to a petition going for the mayors recall. That mayor will resign at the end of the month. The republican plan, called the justice act, calls for banning choke holds more police training, and a database for tracking police use of force. South carolina senator, tim scott, is leading the republican effort. We believe that our policy positions are one that brings the community to a position of stronger understanding and confidence in the institutions of authority. The republican plan is similar to legislation by house democrats, but it does not include their call to strip the qualified immunity from Police Officers. That is something that protects officers from lawsuits against their actions out in the field. Also new this morning, hundreds of people marched across a bridge in portland, oregon, calling for changes to police funding. Protesters are trying to pressure the Police Bureau ahead of a sensor city council meeting. They have agreed to cut almost 60 million in funding with probe plans to reinvent community services. 760 city leaders are hoping to open Civic Services sooner than planned. If the state grants this request, the city can set its own timeline for lifting restrictions, such as reopening hair salons, barber shops, dining restaurants and bars. Marin county will also ask governor gavin newsom for approval to reopen sooner. The county did not qualify as of a recent spike in covid19 cases. So i can tell you from doing this for a long time that that is not normal and im not sure when it will return. Two women and two men were killed in this crash that happened at about a 40, tuesday night. The chp says the driver of an infinity suv, a woman in her early 20s, somehow lost control of the car while on eastbound 880, east of pomona street along the carquinez bridge. The suv went over a concrete wall and crashed on top of a stationary train, before landing on the ground. The car fell into a commercial facility, or several train cars were parked. The chp says the area isnt open to the public, and the one who works there was hurt. A chp officer on scene give us as much information he could about the victims. We believe the right rear passenger was a 19yearold male , the left rear passenger, a 21 yearold male, and the right front passenger, a 22yearold female. He responded to a report of about a suspicious van with bomb making materials, and after he and other deputies followed the vehicle to a home in ben lomond, the deputies came under attack with gunfire and improvised explosives. Two men accused of killing Damon Gutzwiller answers the injuring another deputy were arrested, charged and are now in Police Custody awaiting trial. Today though, people came out to pay their respects. I feel so sorry for the officers family. I am sad, this should not have happened. This was premeditated. Damon gutzwiller was 30 years old, he has one child, and his wife is pregnant with their second child.
