George will be buried next to his mother. 6000 people waited in line to pay their respects at a Public Memorial Service in houston. He was dressed in a brown suit and laid in an open casket for people to say their goodbyes. His casket was then escorted by police back to the funeral home. The former Vice President met with floyds family and so did other highprofile families whose loved ones were killed by police. The death of sparked outrage across the country. The measure is known as the right to protest safely act. The proposed ordinance is in response to recent demonstrations were police used aggressive methods to disperse protesters. In san jose, the police chief is responding to criticism about using rubber bullets and flash bangs during last weeks protest. The police chief acted by issuing a memo saying, quote, Effective Immediately in crowd control situations, projectile impacts will only be used where a person is actively attacking an officer or another person, another person, or when an armed agitator presents a threat. The mayor says it is a start. Police say limiting the tools available could be even more risky. The last thing we need is hand to hand type combat on the street with batons. The Police Department says officers were hit with rocks and bottles. The Department Says it is still reviewing what happened last night. They will not release anybody cam video. Joe biden says he does not support defunding Police Departments. He says he does support federal aid to police based on whether or not they meet standards of decency and honorable miss. Police are still searching for a man suspected of groping at least half a dozen women on a popular trail. Police and walnut trail say the man has groped six women along the iron horse trail over the past three months. The last attack was on friday.
