Started on tuesday, wednesday, today, thursday tomorrow, warmer still. This is the plan until we get to friday when temperatures could reach the mid90s. And they start to come down again with still pretty warm. We are in this warm pattern thats going to stick around. The plan tomorrow is for a few more degrees of warming. We had a couple, we had 4 to 8 degrees in some places. Tomorrow we go up another five degrees. Eight and other places like sanford ziska. Warm day, 92 in conc 91 in santa rosa, great equality, beautiful visibility, no fog at the coast. Kind of breezy out there but a different direction, kind of a north northeast or north northwest wind. Switching back and forth. Right now its mostly north, but that is on short direction where the fog has gone. Its not onshore directly but the way the Northern California pages a little bit, take a look at that. It ends up going offshore limit. Its hard to see. Anyway, as we go to tomorrow, we are warming with temperatures back into the 90s for the first time in a little while. Beyond that, on saturday, friday, on friday and saturday, beyond that into the mid90s or low to mid 90s. 14 degrees warmer in santa rosa than last night. Warmer, and tomorrow morning you are going to wake up before you and the former, typical pre thats the plan. Temperatures for my friends pretty nice. Going to be in the 19th around golden gate park, up to 69. Most folks in outer sunset, you guys will be mid60s, upper 60s. 70 degrees tomorrow and sent for the school at lunchtime, and look what happens. 80 degrees or near 80 degrees. Everybody is looking good tomorrow. 93 in antioch, 93 in fairfield paid those of the warm spots. Warmer days we are seeing and lets see what happens or, here comes the fiveday forecast. Wow, look at that. Images warm up, they do pick on friday. Saturday and sunday they train down a little bit. A nice run of weather coming our way, fall was to return on saturday and sunday. I will see you back here at 10 00 tonight. See you then. Willie mays turned 89 years old today. Coming up next in sports, we will go into our video vault and hear from the legend himself. And then we hope you can join us for the 10 00 news and the 11 00 news right here on ktvu. Market ben is coming to you from napa again, no reason to adjust your set, black and white is the thing tonight in the music room. We are not kidding anybody, theres not a lot going on in sports, which is actually a good thing today, because it gives us a little extra time to celebrate the birthday of the one and only, the great willie mays who turns 89 today. He was my absolute boyhood hero, and i love talking about willie mays and getting to meet your hero is just something that almost cant be explained. Ive interviewed him several times, and just a wonderful guy, and sectional player, thought it would be fun on his birthday, his 89th to relive this a few of his great moments. All right. That pumps me up, 22 years of major lease, 660 lifetime homers, you know anything about baseball, you know he lost two years in the service and playing at wendy Candlestick Park would have probably been the alltime home run leader, lifetime average. 302, 12 gold gloves. He can do anything on the baseball diamond. Most of all, he was a pure entertainer. Every day i can to the ballpark, i did something differently. I used to go home and do at night, i said to myself what am i going to do tomorrow, how am i going to do it tomorrow . Maybe a high fly ball, you have to follow little bit. Then you got to catch up. That makes the fans excited. To me, if you played three or four dollars to come to a ballpark you want to see something a star must do. This is what i try to do, entertain. Happy birthday to this say hey kid. Greatest player of all time. Let me tell you what, this picture right here . It has a proud place in our family room and always will, absolutely love the guy. Willie mays, 89 today. Lets talk 49er football. Why not . Its hard to judge this years draft picks but it sure did not take long to figure out who had it going on last year. That would have been there number one pick, nick bostock, who let his presence be felt very early on. Huge success, only question coming and was as to whether he can stay healthy and that he did, throughout the season for the most part. Just manhandle people from the outset. Crushing the oppositions quarterback constantly. He knows it will be easy in his second year as theyve got to replace buckner on that event of line. Is definitely one of my best friends on the team, seeing him go is obviously bittersweet. Just losing him as a leader, he was the highest each guy, i think he played with the best effort on the d line, which really shows on tape when you see somebody that big sprinting to the ball every play and making those tackles downfield, all going to have to step it up for them. May 6th, aside from being willie mays birthday, there are some other things that have happened down through sports history. Joe fonzi has a for us in this day in sports history. Last year on this day in cincinnati, the giants and reds first braved the bees and then hobbles out of all made baseball history but the giants got blasted 124 but sandoval became the first major leader since Kristi Matheson in 1905 to hit a homerun, steal a base, and pitch a shutout inning in the same game. Too it was unbelievable. Let pablo pitch. More baseball history of the state in 1998, the cubs carry what struck out 20 houston astros, tying the singlegame record. At the mound, on this day in 1954, Roger Bannister did what was thought to be humanly impossible. The englishman ran the worlds first sub four minute mile. Thats this day in sports, may 6th, im joe fonzi. What a day it has been, down through sports history. You know frank, i have to tell you, in all honesty i would not be a sports caster today if it wasnt for willie mays. Hes had that kind of impact. I just absolutely idolize the guy. Lived and died by his every move as a kid, it got me involved in sports, what can i tell you. Iron river collecting baseball cards, and you with them through them and if you got willie mays, that was the ultimate card to get. Real quick, im just here is, do you have a favorite moment with willie . Getting to meet him the first time, i was in all. That is the sporting life, we will have more 10 00. See you later everyone, have a good night. You said clean up. Im cleaning up. You cant just throw everything in the closet. Hey, you can tell me what to do or you can tell me how to do it, but you cant do both; this isnt sex. What if someone looks in there . Theyre just coming over for dinner. No ones gonna look in the closet. Well, you dont know that. What if someones looking for the bathroom and they open that door . Could work out. For all we know, theres a toilet in there somewhere. Fine. But after tonight, we need to get a handle on this mess. You know what we should do . We should show the closet to sheldon. Why . scoffs are you kidding . Hes like a savant at organizing. Everything in his apartment has a label on it. Including his label maker, which has a label that says label maker. And if you look really close at that label maker label, youll see a label that says label. Hes our guest; we cant just ask him to straighten our closet. No, we wouldnt ask him. Wed just show him the closet and let the goblins in his head take it from there. Hey, guys, come on in. Hi. Hi. Ooh, it smells good. Thanks. And, sheldon, i know tonights the night you eat thai food, so i went to the asian market, got all the ingredients and made it from scratch. Oh, you shouldnt have. Oh, its my pleasure. No, you really shouldnt have. I brought my own. You stopped and got him takeout . I had no choice. He kept kicking the back of my seat. Sheldon, ive been cooking all day. Well. Now dont you feel silly. Show him the closet. Our whole universe was in a hot, dense state then nearly 14 billion years ago expansion started. Wait the earth began to cool the autotrophs began to drool, neanderthals developed tools we built the wall we built the pyramids math, science, history, unraveling the mystery
