Starting today Governor Newsom is shutting down act or activities in Orange County and he pointed to this video in newport beach. Social distancing rules were ignored. When community in Orange County is already fighting back against Governor Newsoms order. The democrats say the new rules will allow Residential Construction along with retail sales at nurseries and forest s. Real estate can resume open houses. Sonoma county the third fewest coronavirus cases in the area. Parks in the county reopened wednesday. Happening today a county in the remote part of california will become the first county in the state to ease stayathome restrictions. A rural agricultural part of our state up in the far northeastern part of california. They have about 9000 residents. There has not been a single confirmed case of coronavirus so far. Leaders say restaurants, churches, several other facilities can now reopen however, they stress strict social distancing roles remain in place. People of the age of 65 and those with Underlying Health conditions should stay home. We are doing it very strategically and standard just as the governor is recommending. The county in itself businesses are moving ahead without us. Its in our best interest to an guidelines to follow. Leader sent a letter to the governor outlining the plan. It follows the guidelines on easing stayathome orders in phases. The governor closed all beaches in Orange County but other beaches are open. Even so with the weekend upon us the governor is encouraging everyone to stay at home this weekend to stop the spread of covid19. We have more on the restrictions. Reporter he did a hard closure of beaches in Orange County after thousands of people went to get some sun last week and were not obeying social distancing orders. I want to show you some video last weekend just to give you an idea why the governor decided to take this extreme measure. After criticism over the large crowds the newport Beach City Council voted to keep beaches open. They announced the state close to prevent the spread of covid 19. Orange county has the fourth highest number of hospitalizations in california. The move targeting just one area was a surprise to many because the memo sent to Police Department suggested all states and parks would be closed. We want to make clarifications. We are going to do a hard close in that part of the state just in Orange County area. We think its the announcement and the directive i cant square while others may have said that this is what we are seeing. In the bay area officers issued 275 citations at pacifica beaches over the weekend. Six counties will begin to relax some restrictions starting monday for the Governors Office released a list of some approved activities if you do have to go outside they include cycling, hiking, skateboarding, and gardening. Yes, project level is a Youth Arts Program me and my wife sounded in 2012. Ive been a artist in San Francisco my entire life. I had a cool career. I also had a passion for giving back to the community. There was a lot of things going on in my neighborhood at that time. We wanted to create you know, some kind of safe zone where kids can be creative and at the same time get away from the streets. We started project level mmxii, and its kind of blossomed. It was a Music Program and it blossomed into so many things into entrepreneurship. We teach marketing, fashion design, dance, film and photography, we have all kinds of departments. The kids resumes are amazing. We try to give them tangible opportunities to be self sufficient in the industry and Business Owners on their own. You have a lot of big talent there. Unfortunately the pandemic had to shut you down a little bit. How did you get the studio into the house . That was another thing. When it shut down we had a big court of youth. They were like okay, what are we going to do during this shutdown. My wife danielle, came up with a plan and curriculum to go online. Online when they are with us in person they have a Recording Studio and different equipment and stuff to produce things in our facility. We created these home kits that you can do it. Its almost like a diy type home studio so they can stay creative during the pandemic. We are sending out all kinds of things. Graphic designers have for the fashion designers we are sending sewing machines so they could create close and stuff. We are sending small Recording Studio kits to stay recording. Its cool. They are loving it right now. Great. I know one of the big things you do every year is a talent show. Are you still doing a talent show . Yes, like project level online we are gonna move the big talent show online as well. We will announce later on today. All the logistics and how to sign up and get on. They gathered at Cesar Chavez Plaza yesterday and march across the street to the hotel. They went inside the lobby Holding Signs that read, let us in. This hotel could house hundreds of on housed people like all the other hotels in san jose sitting empty. There is no reason 10,000 people should be out in the street. Since the outbreak Santa Clara County leaders say they been working to add more beds to shelter and move Homeless People into hotel rooms. Californians reached two milestones in the pandemic. We now know there are more than 50,000 confirmed cases of covid 19 in our state. More than 2000 people have died from coronavirus. The governor says you are people are being admitted to the hospital these days. The governor expanded the list of Outdoor Activities that will now be allowed to include biking, canoeing, and boarding. This is in addition to golf, hiking, and skateboarding. Some supervisors want the city to do what they are doing down in los angeles and thats all and free testing for everyone in the community in the city. San francisco set up testing sites throughout the city the center should be able to take in more than 4000 people a day. Right now only 700 test are administered daily thats because of a lack of supplies early on. Right now you have to have symptoms to be tested. Many people dont know what that means. They cant get access to a doctor right now. They are being shut out even if they are in the category of people who should be getting tested. This week the supply issue is improving and testing can start ramping up. Supervisors want to test more people in at risk groups such as homeless and people in single occupancy hotels or communal living situations. Police officers and firefighters saluting healthcare workers in San Francisco General Hospital this morning. We are telling you how is the latest in such displays of appreciation for the frontline workers. Reporter a very up beat encouraging scene outside San Francisco General Hospital this morning as we saw First Responders from across the city gather to show appreciation for the frontline healthcare workers. At 6 30 this morning more than 100 seraph officers and members of the police and Fire Department lined up to create a corridor outside interest of the General Hospital. They clapped and cheered for doctors, nurses, Staff Members, respiratory therapist, and have other Healthcare Providers as they walk through the door to starships. They provided snacks and coffee. This is organized by San Francisco Sheriffs Office for healthcare workers on the front lines of the pandemic. The sheriff and Police Department members of department of Emergency Management all took part in it. It made me feel better about stressful and its scary. The isolation. We want to do a good job. The nurses, doctors, and Staff Members there equally appreciative and grateful for all the show of support for they were all smiling and basking in the appreciation. This isnt the first appreciation event for healthcare workers that weve seen in the bay area or across the country and they probably wont be the last. Its always a positive heartwarming thing to see. Ss could soon be debating another bigmoney bailout tied to the coronavirus pandemic. A growing consensus among republicans and democrats that governments should need money to survive Economic Health crisis. Nancy pelosi, spoke on just how much of the bailout states would need. Ive talked about almost 1 trillion. I would hope so. The president is opposed to bailing out states. He suggested this week the collapsing economies as a result of mismanagement. Starting today Governor Newsom is closing the door and out door activities in Orange County. A recent video from newport last week and the governor says social distancing rules were blatantly ignored. The police chief there disagreed. San mateo county dealing with similar problems in pacifica over the weekend. A supervisor worn now is not the time for complacency. The governor made it clear he will shut down areas where people are endangering public safety. One community in Orange County is fighting back against the governors recent order. Last night Huntington Beach city council held emergency session to seek injunction to keep all county beaches open. City Council Members joined by county leaders who say any decision to shut down beaches should come at the local level not from sacramento. Im urging the governor to rethink the order and give us the opportunity to locally make the best decisions for ourselves. The local leaders need to keep it safe by enforcing social distancing orders. Many people question what happens when local and state orders conflict when it comes to whats allowed and whats not during the pandemic. Yesterday on the subject the governor said local Health Departments must follow rules at a minimum and local leaders have the right to enforce additional restrictions. The only thing we dont want you to do is linger outdoors in ways where you are mixing and congregating. There is logic here that we want people to conduct themselves in a way that will get themselves or someone else sick. The Public Health officer should be the one to make clear whats allowed and whats not. Senior citizens being hit hard by this shelter in place order. Walmart expanding its express delivery to more than 1000 of its stores to meet high demand. The Service Delivers orders people to deliver within two hours. They started testing express delivery a few weeks ago at 100 stores they plan to expand to 2000 stores in the next few weeks. Macys is planning to reopen some of its Stores Starting next week. 68 stores will reopen monday, followed by 50 more the week after that.
