Since march 16, people in the bay area have been told to limit their trips outdoors to just the essential and initially that order is in effect till april 7 and social distancing guidelines through april 30. The social distancing efforts are helping but must be maintained. We feel that the mitigation that were doing right now is having an effect. Its very difficult to quantitative because theres two things. You have the virus going up and mitigation trying to push it down. But the decision to prolong but not to prolong but to extend this mitigation process until the end of april. I think it was a wise and prudent decision. As of last week, at least 15 patients there had been tested. The hospital said they were testing all employees in the care units where the infected staff work. At least 120 residents are quarantined within the unit. To protect patients and staff, San Franciscos Health Officer ordered a protective quarantine for the entire laguna honda hospital and rehabilitation campus. It doesnt allow residents to leave campus till april 7. Another order that went into effect on march 11, visitors prohibited from the hospital. That order expired april 21st. In a news release, the hospital outlined the steps theyre taking to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
