Officials in Solano County have declared a local emergency after a resident tested positive for the coronavirus. This is the First Community spread case of the coronavirus. Reporter state Health Officials called this case a turning point because it appears that the patient contracted the virus in her own community. The patient is a woman from Solano County. We do not know city she lives in but Health Officials are trying to track down who she made contact with. She had though contact with someone suk for the coronavirus, bawses of her low risk background she was not tested for the virus for days. The woman chaked herself in to north bay vacca valley hospital. She was moved to Uc Davis Medical Center when she got worse. Employees she had contact with are now in quarantine. We dozens of our employees but it remains less than 100. There is an along going active surveillance of that group of people. Reporter by declaring a local state of emergency the county hopes to prevent outbreaks in high risk settings. Schools are taking extra measures to protect students and staff. Custodians are wiping down door handles and desks and the cdc has told them to prepare for a possible outbreak. We have reached out to the county Health Department to get more information. They will not say where the woman lived. What city she lived in. Where she worked or where she may have been while sick but they want to assure people that the risk to the public remains low. The cdc said one of them showed mild symptoms of the virus and was being tested off campus. The two other students are ice isolated in another building.
