It started just before 9 30 it haight and ashbury streets. The san Francisco Police department got a call about a white suv driving recklessly. The passengers in the car were yelling and threatening people on the street, munley the homeless. The car drove up on the sidewalk, hitting two Homeless People and a couple of cars. 10 minutes later officers got another call on shots fired at twin peaks boulevard and crown terrace. The sf pd said the driver sped for the officers hitting the front of the patrol car. Both the man and woman were arrested. The video shows the officers leading away i handcuffed woman. Officers were not hurt but a driver and two people hit by the car have nonlife threatening injuries. We have the driver of the suspect vehicle that is being medically treated at the San Francisco general. We have at least two of the pedestrians that were struck by the vehicle also being treated at general. Reporter asked for the report of shots fired at twin peaks, the sf pd said theres no merit to that. We dont know the relationship between the man and woman, or the charges they have been arrested on. It is an early part of the investigation and officers are still gathering all of the details. We have ktvu allie rasmus live. Reporter heres the intersection at Castro Valley where it all happened, a very busy intersection. When the light is green it looks and sounds like a highway with six lanes. At 3 30 yesterday afternoon the 12yearold and her older sister were walking home from school, and they were in the crosswalk and had the right away. The black pickup truck turning left on the canyon road struck the child in the road. The 12yearold died at the hospital. Chp says there is clear Surveillance Video from the neighbors Security Camera showing what happened in the tragedy. The driver initially stopped after the crash, looked out his window before driving off. The 12yearold was a student at the Creekside Middle School in Castro Valley with wanted to speaking to us about the deep sense of grief the Community Feels after what happened. New this morning, two people are in custody accused of driving into two Homeless People on the sidewalk before adding a san Francisco Police car at 9 30 last night. The police at a man and woman were in their car yelling and threatening people on the streets, mainly the homeless. The car ended up on the sidewalk at haight and ashbury. They drove up on the sidewalk, made contact and actually struck two pedestrians on the street. The two were homeless individuals. They received nonlife threatening injuries at this time. Back 10 minutes later officers were called out to the twin peaks boulevard and spotted a car where the driver hit the patrol car. A man and woman in the vehicle were eventually arrested. Maybe late on the 29th the point no one will fall but we have a system over the weekend that will split with some snow in the here on sunday. It does not look like rain for us. We have the driest february on record, santa rosa and san jose look like they will set a record unless something happens.
