They tried to carjack me and i didnt let them do it. The attempted carjacking happened around 2 30 this morning. The uber driver reported it to police who were nearby on a different call. He says he was turning from harrison to 9th which when three people came running from around the corner and tried to force their way inside. One got into the backseat. One tried to get into the drivers seat pointing it at me. And he kept trying to open my door and he finally opened it, tried to yank me out and i kept fighting him the whole time. I started to make the turn and i realized there was a person still in my car and i told him get out. There was another attempted carjacking 5 minutes later also on harrison all involving three suspects. Police say those victims have no relation to each other or the suspects. Youre not taking my car. Because of the time frame and how close these three attempted carjackings happened at the same time. So far this afternoon, Fremont Police held a man in custody after a man attacked a woman at a 24hour fitness gym. As ktvus amber lee explains, other people at the gym got involved and stopped the attack. Police say a woman at this 24hour fitness on busy paseo padre parkway in fremont was sexually assaulted while taking an exercise class. 33yearold Jonathan Anderson managed to walk into the gym and attack the woman during her workout. Was doing push ups when she was attacked from behind by a suspect she didnt know and never met. The assault happened monday evening around 6 30. Gym pat trons we spoke with say they did not know about the assault and the surprise. Its concerning because fremont is a safe community. I guess im just kind of shocked. I guess im not really that afraid to come back. Police say anderson held the victim to the ground, pulled down her clothing and tried to sexually assault her when another patron saw what was happening and intervened. He ran over, pushed the suspect off the female. Grabbed a mat and basically stood between the attacker and the victim to save her. When the suspect tried to leave, the Good Samaritan followed him and alerted others. Gym employees held on to anderson until police arrived. They say the suspect smelled of alcohol and he acknowledged he drank earlier in the day. He was not bashful. He admitted to what he did and made a bunch of sick comments as to why he did it and what he was attempting to do. Police want to know if there are more victims. This man tells me he sees him frequently talking to himself. Hes talking to somebody else which led me to believe that he had some mental issues. In Fremont Amber Lee ktvu fox 2 news. As Lauren Blanchard reports from washington they are wondering if President Trump will pardon stone. Roger stone arrived to court for his official sentencing thursday morning. His fate three years and four months behind bars for witness tampaering and lying to congress after being convicted back in november. Earlier this month, it was recommended by prosecutors that stone serve seven to nine years according to federal guidelines. Police say they found the suspect dead inside his apartment hours after the shootings. Investigators say they released a manifesto. Heres the story. A motorcycle was traveling on highway 17 and crashed into the debris. That motorcyclist was ejected and suffered major injuries. The motorcycle came through and went down. And the motorcycle slid through, the motorcyclist he came sliding to a stop about 25, 30 away from me. He had a badly damaged leg. The driver of the jeep was arrested for suspected dui and has been identified as a 33 yearold male from capitola. Then a call at 3 a. M. The car veered off the road, took down a sign and light post and then flipped. It ended up on its roof down by a service road embankment just off the freeway. The driver, a female pronounced dead at the scene. She was a 20yearold from san jose. These incidents happen so close together that many officers went straight from one scene to the next. We can call it taxing, mental mentally it tears a heavy toll when we have to go to two incidents or multiple incidents that involve major injury or death, loss of life. But our officers are very well trained. Both these crashes remain under investigation. Officers say they dont know what caused the driver on 680 to lose control. In san jose, alyssa harrington, ktvu fox 2 news. A santa clara family is grieving after a 15yearold boy died after being hit by a car while crossing the street. It happened at the busy intersection of agnu road. Witnesses say that isaiah was crossing against the light when he was hit by a car. The family says isaiah was close to his parents and didnt leave the house much. Witnesses say he was in the crosswalk and the driver of a black honda that hit him had the green light. He knows how busy the street is. He knows how fast the traffic is always flying through here. I just dont see him doing something stupid like that. I just dont see how they didnt see him. I would think there would be at least skid marks. There are questions as to whether isaiah or the driver were distracted. The honda driver stopped and is cooperating with police. Isaiah was a freshman at the santa clara high school. A man has been arrested in connection to the death of a woman at an airbnb rental home in san jose. The suspect surrendered yesterday to Santa Clara County sheriffs deputies. The unidentified womans body was found tuesday in a home on Mountain View avenue and people in had that quiet neighborhood say they are in shock. Terrible. The paraglider was trying to avoid landing in the roadway yesterday afternoon when he became entangled in those lines. It took three hours before he was safely brought down to from the line. So were going to see some warm temperatures today and then tomorrow, that warm up continues. These are fridays highs and just to show you santa rosa on friday by the time we get to saturday a high of 69. Its going to be a quick run up of temps but then back down into the 60s as we get into the weekend and the reason for that we do have a low pressure system off the coast. It is going to track to the south of us as far as any rain is concerned it looks like it will be the Central Coast and a little bit of southern california. So while the warm up is on today well see a difference as we get in saturday. Heres friday at 2 00 p. M. You see the clouds kind of coming in. That is that system that will track to the south of us. You notice any pops of precipitation. You see that blue over there on the right side of your screen theyre really going to stay to the south of us. Unfortunately no rain for us we may see a trace in san jose. But it doesnt look like a strong system. We are going to be warmer tonight. That cloud cover is going to help to keep us warm. So 49 to the overnight low in san francisco. Tonight, that will be a difference out of the 30s into the 40s in the north bay. And you can see about 47 in hayward. And that warmer continues and then we cool down as we get into the weekend. You come in the afternoon and a pretty good looking weekend and a gorgeous monday.
