One of the three suspects was armed with a gun and each attack appears to be random and the police have not made any arrests. New this morning, rough Early Morning start on two freeways in the south bay with two separate crashes over not leaving one dead and six others injured. We have ktvu Elissa Harrington at the headquarters. We have the first crash at los gatos and the other at san jose. Reporter thats right. We could see the crash at san jose early this morning with the car on its roof with several firefighters. Officials were trying to remove it from the area. Let me show you video from the scene and the car took out a sign, a light post and it flipped over ending up on the roof by the service road just off the freeway at the jackson avenue exit. That was around 2 15 this morning. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene and officers and not determine what caused the driver to lose control. That was the second overnight crash that the chp officers responded to with another just before 1 00 a. M. With a multiple vehicle collision at los gatos. A wrongway driver crashed and six people were injured and had to be taken to the hospital. The witness said the motorcyclist also drove into the debris field and went down, and that person was taken to the hospital with major injuries the motorcycle came through and it went down. The motorcycle slid through the area. He came to a stop about 25 to 30 feet away from me. He had a badly damaged leg. I put a tourniquet on it. John anderson walked into the 24 hour fitness at 6 30 monday night. The witnesses told police the woman was doing pushups when anderson pushed the woman to the ground, pulling off her clothing and then sexually assaulted her. A man in the gym reactive. I grabbed a matt and held it between him and the attacker, and the victim to savor. The suspect tried to run away but the gym employees held onto anderson until the police arrived. The attempted carjacking was at 2 30 this morning. The uber driver reported it to the police who were nearby on a different call. He was turning from harrison to 9th street when three people came around the corner trying to force their way inside but he said there was no way they were taking his car. One got in the back seat and the other was trying to get into the drivers seat with a gun pointing at me. I just laugh at the barrel and would not let him. He tried to open my door and get me out but i kept fighting him the whole time. Reporter the man was able to drive away unharmed. The San Francisco police say there was another attempted carjacking five minutes later on harrison as well, and the third one a half hour later at mission street. The drivers were able to keep their cars and the victims had no relation to each other or the suspects. The sonoma Police Department shares the same parking lot so campers feels safer than being on the streets. The suspect tried to run away but the gym employees held him until the police arrived.
