After a search on friday afternoon, police found brooks body in that same area. Investigators say brooks and the woman had had a previously dated and were the parents of that young fouryearold boy. Police have not released the names of the mother and child. The parents of a concord teen hit in a crash is providing the gift of life to others even after his death. Su presence here in burling gam i will break down what we know about this crash that happened here. It is a very, very tough situation here. We know this is a solo vehicle crash. According to the chp the car was driving on 101 southbound about 5 30 this morning when it lost control and went airborne. Now it landed on its roof. The driver was a woman and she did die. The chp said she was not wearing her seat belt. Now if you take a look at the scene right here we have multiple fire crews, the chp is here, the county coroner is here. They just removed the body from the scene and put it in the coroners van so they are work through their investigation here this morning. A sig alert has been issued for roll lands road. It is shut down from cadillac way to toy yon drive while they investigate. Rollins road runs parallel to highway 101 but highway 101 is not shut down. Cars are still able to go through this area, but the chp says at some point this morning they will shut down part of the 101 to take pleasure. S and youll have to take broadway while they do their so appears the woman was speeding when she lost control, but the official cause of the crash has not been determined yet. We were just told rollins road will likely be shut down for a couple more hours while investigators bro says the scene. There was a woman who did die in this solo vehicle accident. Her car did go airborne. She was driving on 101 southbound here. Her car went over kind of a little dirt patch in the road, went over that and hit a fence and landed on its roof. And she unfortunately did die. So right now the chp is out here. The coroner is out here. All processing the scene working through it. It could be a couple more hours before they are done with this investigation. It happened about wo hours ago. Still very, very early on. There is some new information about the discovery of wo bodies outside a home in marin county. The sheriff there said illegal drug use likely led to the deaths of a man and woman. Officers found their bodies early yesterday morning low kate on a driveway of a home in the marin county community of sleepy hollow. I will have a look at your numbers in the extended forecast coming up. Developing news. A woman has died after crashing on highway 101. This morning, her car is still at the scene and is upside down. We have coverage on what we know about what happened. Reporter just about 10 minutes ago, the car that was on its hood was flipped over. It appears that authorities are making a little bit of progress on the scene. This crash was first reported just after 5 30 am. The chp says a woman was driving down the broadway offramp on 101 southbound in burlingame when her car hit a dirt path, went airborne, and landed on its hood. We are told she was not wearing her seatbelt and she may have been speeding. The chp found a long stretch of tire marks leading up to where the car ended so that leads investigators to believe she was driving fast. The official cause of the crash has not been determined yet. A sig alert was issued while the chp investigates. Traffic on 101 southbound is not affected right now but the chp does plan to shut down all lanes to take measurements on the highway. When that happens, cars will be rerouted off the broadway ramp. The San Mateo County coroner is out here right now along with multiple chp and fire crews. The chp has a warning for anyone who gets in a car, always wear a seatbelt. We dont know what the outcome could have been had this person been wearing their seatbelt. It is known that the driver was not wearing her seatbelt. We have several crashes a year that due to further investigation, there was an opportunity that the life could have been saved had they been wearing their seatbelt. This area that we are on right now is pretty heavily traveled. We have seen a lot of people in this area. It is right next to an italian restaurant. There is also a gas station here. The officers who are blocking the road have had to turn away a lot of people. Rollins road is expected to be shut down for the next couple of hours according to the chp as they continue their investigation. Any time the officers have feet on the ground on any of the highways or any of the roads, they want to shut it down to make sure it is safe. Once that gets shut down, cars will be rerouted off the broadway ramp and then they can get back on 11 southbound. The chp did confirm a woman did die in this scylla vehicle accident. It happened about 5 30 am in burlingame and she was not wearing a seat. Definitely a very sad but important reminder to always start wearing your seatbelt when you get in the car.
