casings on the freeway. this is the second shooting within a 24-hour period. chp investigators were at another shooting. that happened on the onramp 880 880 at mowry avenue. it did appear the driver in that shooting may have been targeted because he was followed by the gunman from another location. chp investigators are still looking in to both shootings. again there's no indication that they are connected or related in any way. but no one has been arrested in either case. in oakland , allie rasmus, ktvu fox 2 news. new at noon, concord police are homicide of of the year. police say they do have a man in custody. investigators are not releasing too the east lling his mother. public works director mohamed nuru and nick bovis appeared in court today. >> ktvu's christina rendon is live for us at the courthouse this afternoon. >> we were hoping to hear possibly some developments in this case. this was after all a bond hearing but this is more of a procedural issue that the judge walked through here with both nuru and davis. both men are charged with a public corruption case all of it connected to awarding city contracts for the city of san francisco. nuru is the director of the department of public works. in a scheme to bribe the san francisco airport commissioner with the help of restaurant bov both of them accused of working to give cash and free travel to win a rport commissioner in contract for a restaurant at sfo without competitive bidding. both men did not want to talk when they tried to reach out to them and their attorneys. the only one who decided to talk this morning was nick bovis' attorney. here's what he had to say. >> he wants to get to the bottom and put this behind him. he understand what he did, but there's legal aspects and fact aspects you have to clip together to make a determination. a, is it a crime. his conduct, and we'll have to make that determination in the future. >> the san francisco chronicle reports that two men who run an airport concession business in detroit acted as fbi informants in the case. the paper says they secretly reported calls and meetings of nuru and bovis. so again this morning here in court it was very kicks off phase one of trying to clear cado road and that does include the 1700' stretch of the road. city officials callmorning for rv that was in that stretch of road they're clearing right now. it took awhile but it finally did get taken away. cleaning crews are making sure it's cleared out. and then they'll put in boulders every 20' to make sure people don't park here in the future. there have been warning signs up letting campers and drivers know this day was coming. initially the city wanted people out by january 27th but people were still out here even this morning. during recent months more and a claimed a large area of this road and even some tesla car carriers park here as well as employees of neighboring businesses. those people won't be able to park here anymore either. when we asked why do this now, city officials say it has become a safety and health risk. >> we also have sanitary conditions of people living out here and recreational vehicle parts are in place with amenities to support those recreational vehicles whether it be pump systems or hook ups. we just don't have that out here. so this is not an appropriate place for people to be living and for recreational vehicles to be parking. >> there are still people living on other partof cado road although most have left on their own. they won't remove anyone instead they'll bring in workers who talked to them about bringing resources. so far only phase one has been approved. city officials tell me they're going to evaluate how successful this project was and phase 2 will start on the south following for you. highway patrol investigating another shooting that happened on an east bay freeway. took place around 10:20 last night in oakland. chp says a woman was driving on to the freeway three second round picks. both players traded away were getting significant playing time this season for the warriors. they hit free agency this summer. with both of those players traded, that means
