The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A neighbors surveillance camera showed a car outside her house around the time of the shooting. The Vallejo City Council will push the Vallejo Police to pick up momentum in the case of an officer involved shooting. Eric reason was shot by an off Duty Richmond Police officer last november and investigators said the two men had argued in the parking lot of a restaurant. They said reason raised a handgun and pointed it off the officer. The family of reason wants surveillance camera to be made public and they want a timeline for the results of the investigation. Investigations continue into the death of a man who died after a chase and Sonoma County with Community Members gathering at petaluma to discuss the death of 52year old david ward. He dyed the day before thanksgiving after being pulled over by sheriffs deputies. The deputy used a taser and then reached inside and applied a chokehold on ward who stopped breathing and then died. There is no deescalation policy and the Sheriffs Department of this county. John cowell pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for the stabbing death of nia wilson and the attempted murder of her sister at the Macarthur Bart station in oakland. Jury selection will be tomorrow but the court is waiting to receive a report on his mental status. New information in the case of a man charged with the stabbing death of a barred passenger in november and this case is on hold. 1029 is charged with murder for the incident on a bart train in south hayward. The defense expressed doubt about his mental competency. Witnesses said that jermaine brim tried to steal the shoes of another bart passenger. 49yearold Oliver Williams saw what was happening on pulled a knife and offices said 1029 then used his own knife to stab Oliver Williams to death. A courtappointed psychologist will do a mental evaluation of brim and the report will be presented next month. In the wake of that and other violent incidents on bart, security will be ramped up on the trains with 12 new officers deployed to ride the trains at night and weekends. They will work in pairs and ride trains with a focus on downtown oakland and San Francisco. The deployment is in response to safety concerns voiced by riders on surveys and during the general managers recent listening respond to all levels of crime. Santa clara supervisor proposes a program to help young men and women transitioning out a foster care. Currently, they are cut off from services when they turn 25 but the supervisor proposes basic income for 100 and the system. Each would receive 1000 a month for 2 years and it would be paid for from the county general fund. Would help me pay for groceries and rent, especially rent. Good samaritans are credited for saving the life of a woman in pittsburg after she went into water.
