Ticktock specifically seems to be used by younger users and have grown a little mor what i do you think that this was particularly problematic given the fact that you have 17, 18, 19yearolds putting their entire lives out there . I do think that is a part of it. Obviously the demographic is accurate. I think they are also more susceptible. It is easier to influence and it should definitely be easier to get them to use an application specific. Quickly specifically short videos. One of the problems your firm uncovered was some users might get an email that looks like it is from ticktock. I click on the link but it is not from ticktock. Tell me where the link goes from there . So the exploit that was shown or the vulnerability essentially was that you can, as an attacker, send a text message from ticktock to and enduser. Then you have the ability to use some applications, hacker tools if you want to insert a redirect so basically take the end user where you want and manipulate the data. So yes, that was definitely a concerning vulnerability. A few weeks ago some military members were barred from using ticktock. I thought, that is interesting. If they cant use a, should we be using it . Little red flags that pop up in the future, should the general consumer take that as perhaps a little is it right for me . Obviously, given my security background i look things with a different viewpoint. In my opinion, yes. I would absolutely look at social media or i would rather say any platform where you post incidental private information. This can be done with basic email . Absolutely.
