The levee breaks are pretty rare in california even though there almost 9200 miles of the levees in california. The bay area y they are well in watched closely. They protect communities, agriculture and Transportation Systems including the railroads and the highways. In the bay area we have over 100 miles of freeway with levees and statewide we have thousands of miles of freeways with levees. As far as rainfall amounts, anywhere from half to one inch over the next 24 hours. Sunday morning we get another a half to one inch with santa rosa looking at over 2 1 2 inches. In the urban areas we go to to two and half inches for the waiter spots and in the hills 2 to 4 inches. The wind advisory later today is bay area wide, breezy and gusting through the afternoon. In the sierra we have winter storm warning down to 6000 feet. In the last half hour it was flipped with livermore at one mile visibility, concord at a quarter mile. As sal mentioned, it moves around and becomes thicker once again so be prepared.
