Well, we need to do a much better job serving victims of crime in the city, that is something up with that i agree with. I have been very clear throughout this campaign that i am going to run a stricter District Attorneys office. I feel when you do a much better job reaching out to crime victims, informing them of their rights and giving them more rights than the law minimally requires, that is my equipment and i look forward i think the attacks on me throughout this race, and frankly their history of being on the wrong side of so many to political issues in San Francisco politics shows how disconnected the leadership is from the principles and values that San Francisco voters have. Im not going to hold a grudge, i look forward to working with them, i have already reached out to leadership and various Law Enforcement agencies and asked to have a sit down. I want to hear their input and get their ideas and learn from their experience. We cannot do this alone. You talk about having a victims first approach, some questions, how does somebody would total 180 and go from being a public defender you know District Attorney . I dont see it as being a 180 frankly, many people who get arrested for crimes have themselves been victims of crime throughout the last. It is that failure to protect people from being victims in the first place, that trauma come that leaves so many people to end up committing crimes himself. My mother did 22 years in prison. I can tell you the vast majority of women in her prison have themselves been victims of sex trafficking and Domestic Violence and pimping and worse. So what we need to remember is people we are prosecuting today are the people we failed to protect yesterday in many cases. So, for me as a public defender, i was always shocked when i would reach out to a crime victim and find that nobody from the das office had reached out to them, that nobody had asked them what their needs were. And what a terrible job our system does actually feeling the harm that crime victims suffer. Thats why ive committed to a broader sort of Justice Program and prepare the broken windows that are plaguing the city. Is there concern when youre focusing so much on lofty goals, the day to day experience of being in san franciscan is unpleasant to say the best. The transit started run 4 30 this morning, and theres only about 30 minutes left before you can actually see. Get out there if you have not already, try to find a telescope, mercury goes between the earth and the sun regularly, but is typically above the earth or below the son. On rare days like today, it is passing right across the sun. Mercury looks like a bat black spot, like him ordinary sunspot but it is actually mercury which is pretty cool. It is a black spot as you see the shadow side of mercury. One of the one planets i actually have not yet been able to see, because i dont like mornings. But it was really cool. Very exciting. This was really exciting. Because mercury is so small from our perspective on earth, you really need binoculars or a telescope to see it. It is going to look like a very tiny black dot, only about 30 minutes left for the transit is visible here from where we are in the bay area. Remember, dont look directly at the sun. If you have the Solar Eclipse glasses from a couple of years ago, those will work but you need something very powerful. But those on you wont be able to see it, it is so small and tiny. It really is a rare event. Another transit like this wont be visible in the bay area until 2049. That will be other trances before then, they just wont be seen from here in the bay area.
