We are dealing with fog and thats it and theres some thick fog. Coast and bay are extremely cool and its a scary drive home carlos said from work last night. Twin peaks was covered. I believe it. My friend mike called me and said he was in the city and he said it feels like summer. Fog is pouring in and its cold and we had higher clouds coming in so the combination really put the ceiling on a lot of these temperatures yesterday on the coast and bay. There were some upper 70s bulan otherwise it was 50s and 60s. Visibility is not that great and it will get worse. Zero visibility or quarter mile up to five or six in san jose but i think that will change in san jose. Water temperatures in the 50s. The water is cold enough. 60s and 70s but if youre near the coast, is 50 or 60. Three days in a row for the city. Livermore is way above. Livermore and concord and down to gilroy, st. Helena and calistoga. Temperatures on cool on the coast and warm inland. We are looking at fog again. Yes we are and i think that sometimes it doesnt slow people down. People slowdowns and sometimes others dont and we have a wreck so this morning we are off to a decent start. I dont see anything serious on the Solano County commute. So far its okay heading west coming in from barefoot and vallejo and driving down to hercules. No major issues. Traffic continues to move along well if youre driving on 680 from the cordelia junction. And the rest of the east bay commute is off to a good start. The camp fire started one year ago today. 85 people died in that fire and more than 11,000 homes and businesses were destroyed. The rebuilding efforts have  been difficult. The city of paradise has issued only 300 building permits. Also it was a year ago today that the deadly woolsey fire in Southern California broke out. Three people died in that fire that burned more than 97,000 acres in ventura and la county. More than 1600 homes and businesses were destroyed and like the victims of the camp fire, those survivors , survivors, homeowners and Business Owners are still struggling to bounce back and rebuild because of red tape and because insurance claims were rejected. The woolsey fire happen hours after the borderline bar mass shooting in Thousand Oaks were 12 people were killed. Investigators said Southern California edison equipment started the woolsey fire and that Utility Company could be on the hook for billions of dollars in damages. Today the people of napa county are asked to help their neighbors and Sonoma County recovering from the kincade fire. The fire was of fully contained but destroyed close to 400 homes and businesses. At one time the kincade fire forest 180,000 people to evacuate. The Napa County Farm Bureau is hosting a donation drive from 3 00 this afternoon until 7 pm. Items in need include towels, sleeping bags, toiletries and Gift Certificates for clothing and gas. Tonight the city of healdsburg will thank the community for their perseverance and First Responders for their hard work the chamber of commerce and Visitors Bureau are hosting what they call a celebration of gratitude. But she was confronted by a man who got into the uhaul and began struggling with her. Her son heard the commotion. My mom screaming so he went running out toward her and the guy got nervous who was in the car kicking my mom. She was holding onto the steering wheel. Reporter the carjacker through the uhaul into reverse and smashed into another truck coming down the street. He met my mother sub thank god the guys stop so i can get my mom. When that happened my mom started to let go and he thought she would be okay to let go and it wasnt okay because the guy threw it in drive and ran over her. Reporter her hip and pelvic bones were crushed. She had to be transferred to st. Francis hospital in San Francisco for specialized care. She has big taping wounds on her body to where now she has to have skin grafts and they have to keep cleaning up the wounds. Reporter Oakland Police responded to the scene and took a report. The suspect was arrested after found in the car jack uhaul. The family does not know if police found cayas purse or her sons belongings which were in the truck but one thing is sure missing. The race for San Francisco District Attorney is getting tighter after factoring in ranked choice voting. Suzy loftus still leads the race with 50. 3 of the vote compared to Chesa Boudins 49. 7 . However loftus is ahead by only 879 votes. And the district 5 supervisor race, incumbent vallie brown has 49. 9 , trailing her opponent dean preston, who has 50. 1 . The Election Department says right now there is a difference of only 35 votes between them. The San Francisco Police Officers association is demanding a stronger apology from city supervisor sandra lee fewer after the supervisor led an obscene chant against them. She claims that during the evening perez allegedly slipped date drugs into her drinks and forced himself on her in his car and then raped her at his home. I woke up in the middle and he was already rapping me. He was kissing all over me. He was her supervisor that he trusted and he used that authority to compel her to go out and ultimately used it to raped her. After 13 months of, a special renovation work to historic point raise lighthouse open today. The National Park service spent 5 million restoring that 150 yearold lighthouse. The extent of makeover included restoring the length of the lighthouse, replacing the roof and also creating inaccessible pathway. Visitor center will open a 10 00 this morning.
