Cleanup continues at a four acre lot in west oakland that have become home to People Living in tents, parked cars and rv located in wood street near west grand avenue along interstate 880. The city was concerned about unsanitary conditions and increased fire danger so city leaders came to an agreement with the Property Owner to have the lot cleaned. But homeless advocates say its unfair of the city to force those living on the lots to relocate without providing them somewhere else to go. Today the city of oakland is trying to displace almost 100 residents of this encampment without alternatives. The plan to have the site cleared over the next few days and repaved before it turns into a safe rv site. The Santa Clara County board of supervisors wants to help the homeless who are mentally ill.
