Utility worker spoke at the site who pointed out a broken piece of equipment on the tower. The line had not been deenergized before the fire although lower voltage lines were turned off. Pg e says that tower had been inspected four times in the past two years. It appears to have been in excellent condition, recently inspected so well have to wait for the results of our investigation and cal fire to learn more about that. Pg e says cal fire had taped off an area around the base of the transmission tower pending an investigation. The utility doesnt know if that sparked the fire.
