After that, it looks good. If you are in berkeley, this isnt going to affect you. Traffic is move ago long okay as we look at some of these commutes, the east bay commute is off to a good start with nothing major going on, and if you are driving to the bay bridge toll plaza, it should be nice and light for you. Thanks to Hurricane Dorian as it continues its path toward the carolinas. As a category three storm, dorian is expected to move near the coast of South Carolina and towards North Carolina tonight and into friday in the weekend. Federal emergency declarationings have been approved for florida, georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Less than an hour ago, give jenkins recorded this update for us from foley beach in South Carolina. The winds are really picking up on the Barrier Islands of South Carolina. The highest wind recorded so far is 68 Miles Per Hour in carlson international airport. But here, on foley beach it seems like it might be a little bit stronger. We are in the parking lot of a fishing pier where two years ago, erosion. Three years ago, a real beating. It is a combination today of these high winds of Hurricane Force strength winds even though we are 80 miles from the center of the eye. The winds are strong here mixed with a surge expected to be five to eight feet and rainfall from six to 12 inches of rainfall. We see water running down this street here. It has been evacuated. We havent seen anybody around here. We havent seen Law Enforcement patrolling here. And the power going in and out. It is going to be a long day, but it is high tide and everyone batching. A little bit later this afternoon when that storm surge really is going to determine how strong it is and everybody here hoping that this storm will come close, pass, and move on and leave them alone here. In charlotte, and South Carolina. And foley beach, fox news. All right. This is going to be some intense time. This is how fast is it moving . That has been the problem. It went up to category three. Its been nine or ten miles an hour. It got over the gulf stream so it intensified a little bit. It should start to accelerate in 24 hours. It is making its move, but it i feeds off that very warm water. Lets get to the stats here. Only north from 7 00 to 8 00. Its been eight to nine. Still category thee, and as it does, the rainfall as you mentioned. There could be some isolated areas of 15 inches. Amount of storm surge four to seven feet. So carlson is now on its way towards wilmington, North Carolina. The outer banks look to be the main focus. Some of these convexive bands. You can see it is much stronger actually on the western edge than it is on the eastern edge. That is where it is containing very heavy rain. As it moves northward, it will start to clip parts of North Carolina and move north. Then it should accelerate. That is the way it looks. We had our own thunderstorms yesterday as advertised.
