Some on several acres of property next to where the property was burning. One neighbor said the dispatcher on the phone told her to leave her home right away, as a precaution, which she did. I was semi prepared. I got the hard drive and backup to the computer and other things out that i needed to get out. But you know, it certainly puts a lot of fear in you. And you are determined. And to prepare better for the next time. The wind was coming in off the bay. And it was blowing that way. If we had had a santa ana, or, you know, if it was blowing this way. The fire would have come right up this hill. So yes. We are very lucky. It could have been much, much worse. Yeah. Right now, were experiencing the high temperatures in the bay area. And its supposed to be that way for the remainder of the week. So this is something were going to have to watch out for. Again, overnight, firefighters made a lot of progress. The sweigert fire over 65 contained. Today, they will focus on maintaining the fire lines they built. The causes of this fire, with how it first started is still under investigation. Several people are under arrest, following a multipolice agency in oakland. Police confirmed they were in oakland earlier today, to serve a search warrant in connection to an Ongoing Investigation out of san mateo. A number of people were taken into custody. Police say they think they may have gang ties. Officers from oakland, san bruno, south San Francisco, and atf were all on the scenes overnight. A highspeed crash in San Francisco flooded a city street, after one car sheared off a fire hydrant. Police say four people were inside a mazda when they crashed. The wreck took out a fire hydrant. And that sent water gushing and out onto the street. All four people were taken to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. The crash is under investigation. A Sacramento Man is under arrest, on suspicion of pointing a gun in a road rage incident on interstate 880 in fairfield. A woman, driving another car, called police, after a man threw an object at her, right near the north texas street off ramp. Both cars exited the interstate. They stopped at a red light. Police say the man, brandon jax, pointed a gun while yelling at her. She then quickly drove off. Fairfield police and chp were able to track down jackson, found the firearm. Instead, justice secretary Wanda Vasquez is set to take over. She would become puerto ricos second female governor. But calls for her to resign are already flooding twitter. She was loyal to rossells. And there are questions about how much she knew about these messages. There were conversations released. Some of the conversations were sexist, homophobic, used obscenities and even mocked victims of hurricane maria. These texts only added fuel to the fire. It was police who knocked that november morning to. Tell kingsley, her daughters body had been found wedged head first in a bin. Kailey was trying to take items out when the bin snapped shut. Then i found out there were people who had died before her. And nothing changed. They almost take that persons head off. Now, kingsley is suing the bay area nonprov they owns nonprofit that owns the bin. You have to assume theres been many more close calls and injuries. Over a dozen years, there are documented over 20 deaths in donation boxes around the country. Different manufactures with the same antitheft design, that pinches shut when theres weight on it. One woman in new york actually got her arm stuck in the bin. And she ultimately froze to death, hanging from the bin. Friends said she often foraged in the bin to give clothes to others. Therapy, after his 24yearold son calen tate was shot and killed in east oakland on monday. Angry. Im hurt. Im sad. A lot of emotions. I wouldnt wish this on anyone. He said his son was going to work. A contractor for amazon. Calen was sitting outside his mothers home on 66th avenue in oakland monday, around 10 30 in the morning. When another car pulled up and started shooting. Calen was struck once. Rushed to highland hospital, where he died. And he came out and told us they couldnt save him. The bullet went to his heart. Calens friend was also shot and survived. His father does not believe his son was the intended target. Saying calen had no items. Not into drugs or gangs. He was totally colorblind. And we were robbed of him.
