They were councils at a youth camp in el dorado. For 13 years investigators searched for the killer. Her mother spoke with us about the cold case in 2014. Three years after the interview, he was arrested for killing his brother at the family home in forestville. He began talking to investigators about the killings at the beach and the attempted murder of a man two months before. The chp says the driver crashed into the guardrail and went down the hillside. The man died and did not have identification. The coroner was out here earlier this morning. The situation initially chp thought multiple cars were involved but some cars hit the guardrail after the truck was already down the hill. Officers do not know why the man crash. Today a man charged with killing three people including his own brother is scheduled to be sentenced. The crimes were committed over a span of years. It all started with this man from forestville expected to be sentenced to three consecutive life terms. They were counselors at a youth camp in el dorado. For 13 years investigators searched for the killer. Her mother spoke with us about the cold case in 2014. Three years after the interview, he was arrested for killing his brother at the family home in forestville. He began talking to investigators about the killings at the beach and the attempted murder of a man two months before. The District Attorney says in exchange for his plea of no contest to all three murders she decided not to seek the death penalty.
