And at the other hospital in the area, theres still three there. But thankfully one person was discharged earlier today. We know that the fbi is overseen by the department of justice so what is Jeff Sessions saying about all of this . Reporter yeah, earlier today Jeff Sessions the attorney general he ordered a review of exactly how this fbi tip, someone who saw something said something, how this tip went overlooked. Why that was never forwarded on to the Miami Field Office and then, of course, no investigation took place. So he would like to look into what happened, where was the disconnect and make sure this kind of thing doesnt happen again. If there is an alert out there, if somebody notices who has guns, showing erratic behavior has disturbing social media which is what this person told the fbi line about nikolas cruz why that didnt go any farther. But the bureau did absolutely nothing about it. Now, this all began on january 5th, more than five weeks before the latest mass shooting in florida. A person close to the suspect, nikolas cruz tried to warn the fbi about him. The caller says cruz had a gun, had a desire to kill people, was behaving erratically and was posting disturbing material on social media. The caller also said cruz had the potential to carry out a School Shooting. But the fbi is now confirming today, that that tip never mailed it to the Miami Field Office for investigation. And now, 17 people are dead after cruz allegedly opened fire at his former school. Florida governor rick scott called on fbi director Christopher Wray to resign. In a Statement Today the governor said quote, see something, say something, is an incredibly important tool. And people must have confidence in the follow through from Law Enforcement. The fbi director must resign. Authorities say even if the fbi didnt do its job people should always come forward with tips. We hope that the public would give us any and all information that might seem to appear to be a credible threat or a threat. And we will go ahead and assess that as to its credibility and we have to investigate. But how will this criminal phase work out if the people who are named in this indictment are not in the u. S. . Well, these are people who at the moment are probably beyond actually coming in front of a u. S. Court. Mr. Rosenstein he said well, in the normal course of things we will try to seek extradition. The russians are not going to do that. However the people will be restricted and where they can travel because if they were to travel anywhere, where the United States does have extradition treat ease does have cooperation agreements all of europe they wont be able to travel there. If they try to pass through passport control their names will pop up. In a by theyll beacon fined to russia and to a few the places. So it has that limiting effect. Reporter this morning public works crews from the city of santa rosa are clearing the remains of this fiery scene where this crash ended at west steel and north coast. Were hearing from family members that this all started with a auto theft and turned into a High Speed Pursuit through the streets leaving one plan injured and a car in flames. The victims of the car theft and Santa Rosa Police are saying it all started when the thief stole a white Dodge Charger from this neighborhood. The victims heard a noise outside their home and when they looked they saw someone apparently trying to break into and steal their car. That white charger took off. And two men from that home hopped into another vehicle and began tailing the charger. That chase took them through the streets of santa rosa reportedly at a high rate of speed. At times the speeds reached 100 Miles Per Hour. The cars owners say they lost sight of the charger but then heard the crash. By the time they arrived at that crash, they found that the Dodge Charger had smashed into six other vehicles, causing one car to burst into flames. A witness in the area described the fiery after math. I heard a huge smash just like i never heard that before. I instantly looked up. Right over here a car was huge fireball. Reporter the driver and presumed car thief was thrown from the car or managed to crawl out after the crash and was unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to an area hospital. Back in the neighborhood where it all started, wayne says someone tried to steal his car earlier this year. On the first of january, somebody tried to break into my hummer. Reporter in bernards case they picked the wrong target. He is a chp officer and held the suspect at gunpoint and helped Police Arrest him in january.
