The fire started at 7 15 last night at a five story Apartment Building near jones. San francisco fire Officials Say one person was hurt in the fire, three apartments were affected. The red cross was on the scene to help those that have been displaced but the cause of the fire is under investigation. The ruling on destructive fires can impact the bay area as officials look into who is to blame for the Deadly Northern California wildfires. Shareholders of san diego, gas and electric, not the ratepayers, have to pay 379 million in cost related to the 2007 wildfires. Three fires destroyed more than 1400 homes and killed two people. Cal fire and the puc concluded the fires were caused by electrical lines. Thousands of people who lost their homes in the fires in Sonoma County will be getting a break on the property taxes. The Sonoma County assessor announced yesterday he will allow owners whose homes were damaged or destroyed in the fires to transfer their current Property Tax Base to the new replacement property even if its worth more. Franken has apologized and says he will cooperate with an investigation. Senate republicans are urged to end the investigation into russian interference in the 2016 election. Later today, the senate is expected to vote in the republican tax bill. The vote yesterday was delayed after the bill hit two major roadblocks. According to senate rules, a so called trigger mechanism in the bill would not be allowed. Some republican senators proposed that trigger could raise taxes if the deficit goes up, because of the planned cuts. Now, the second roadblock is a new forecast that says the bill would not pay for itself as is suggested by the white house, and that it would actually add more than 1 trillion to the federal deficit over a tenyear period. Senator Dianne Feinstein tweeted quote, the joint committee on taxation says there is no chance a republican tax bill could generate enough revenue to cover the 1. 4 trillion it will add to the deficit. Now, the aids memorial quilt will be on display today at the San Jose City hall rotunda. That quilt honors 96,000 people who have died from the disease. There will be a flag raising ceremony and a candlelight vigil at 8 00 tonight. Next week, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case involving lgbtq rights, religion, and a cake. This involves a 2012 incident between a gay couple in colorado and a bakery. The baker cited his religious faith in refusing to make a cake for the couple. Now, he has been accused of violating colorados antidiscrimination law. He claims hes an artist and he should not have to create something that contradicts his religious views.
