This happened not far from the airport there. One woman was killed in the crash, another suffered major injuries. Authorities say alcohol may have been a factor in this crash, and they add they did find alcohol in the vehicle. Left the roadway, overturned and one party was fully ejected that we know of right now, and another party was partially ejected. The party that was panelly eject partially ejected was found deceased. Reporter the driver was arrested three at the scene. Jury deliberations resume monday morn energy the trial of the man accused of murdering kate steinle. The jury went home for the holiday without reaching a verdict. Prosecutors say he intentionally fired a gun on a San Francisco pier in 2015 which killed steinle. Defense attorneys argue that zarate found the gun and it went off and a bullet ricocheted. Disturbing allegations at an all Girls Catholic School in the south bay. Two students say the school covered up sexual abuse allegations for decades. For these women, the pain is fresh though the allegations of sexual abuse by a teacher at Presentation High School happened three decades ago. When i sent my first letter reporting that he had groped me and shown me pictures of a naked woman, the administration didnt even respond. Reporter she says she tried for years to report what happened while she was a student. First to the school, then to the police and the catholic diocese. It was only this fall after she wrote an article for a National Publication that she felt she was heard. While i was speaking to a Global Community of survivors, i didnt realize how many more were at presentation. Reporter cheryl spoke on behalf of a friend who was allegedly assaulted by the same teacher. Not only did we not get any help, she dismissed both of us with stern warnings to be careful about what we say. Reporter School Officials strongly dispute claims that they failed to act. In a statement they say for anyone to suggests that phs has in any manner covered up on condoned any instance of sexual abuse is an outright lie. They say they conducted an i nvestigation25 years ago. The response by the administration at Presentation High School was to protect the image and reputation of the school and cast the safety and welfare of the students to the side. Reporter the women and their attorney are now demanding a meeting with presentations board of directors in the hopes that something here will change. Governor brown has granted a pardon to a man who spent nearly 40 years in prison for a murder that officials now say he did not commit. He had always denied killing his exgirlfriend and her son. Another look with advanced technology showed no dna evidence linking him to the killings. On this thanksgiving, there are mixed emotions for a father and son who survived last weeks shooting ram wage in tehama rampage in tehama county. Lord, just watch over them and their families. Reporter from his hospital bed, 20 year old james woods, jr. , and his father, are praying for the five victims killed in the shooting and their families. We caught up with hugo and his family at the beginning of a happy holiday. Reporter a trip to the mall, mundane but its the first time for this family after seven months. In may, hugo went to a dry wall job at Travis Air Force base and never came home. He and a coworker, turn over to immigration as undocumented. Everything changed in one minute. Reporter from freedom to four walls. His wife and three children, devastated. I am a good guy. Im not a criminal. Reporter an old deportation order meant he was not owed a hearing. Rallies and legal wrangling continued until a judge ordered him freed on bond as he fights deportation. He went from his cell into his familys arms. Thats what i miss all this time, and feel them close to me is the most beautiful thing. Its the most beautiful gift for thanksgiving. What did he miss while inside . The Washington Post interviewed a woman who played a secretly recorded phone conversation with barton where he threatened to report her to Capitol Police if she exposed his behavior. Al franken is facing more charges against him. Two more women have come forward and said that franken touched them inappropriately. One says that he touched her in 2007. The other says in 2008 he made a sexual suggestion while placing his hand on her backside at a Democratic Fund raiser. Allegations of Sexual Misconduct against former Alabama State judge roy moore are still dominating the senate race hes in. Moore has denied claims of inappropriate contact with several women, some of whom were underage at the time. Now he says hes looking into legal action against the accusers. Doug jones is moores opponent. He suggests republicans are hoping voters will ignore the claims against moore. Theyre going to be serving a hot thanksgiving meal to more than 3,000 people here at glide Memorial Church. Theyve got about 200 hams that they have to work on, close to 300 turkeys and turkey breasts that they need to carve up along with the fixings for the people who will be coming by for this holiday tradition. I want to bring in curiel, the senior director of programming. You were talking about how the need every year continues to grow. The need continues to grow. Food insecurity is a real thing. In this city where theres so much money, you would think people would be fed but one in four struggle with food insecurities. A lot of the people you help are elderly. A lot of seniors, we see children, we see families, single adults. We serve everyone who comes. We dont turn anyone away. And you provide a hot meal for anyone in the community who wants to come through your doors three times a day. 364 days a year, the only day were closed is january 1st. Your volunteer slots are full for today. They start on november 1st, we post them online and that day, they fill up. Reporter but your Organization Needs help all year round. Theyve got a lot of work ahead of them. Theyre going to be carving up these turkeys and hams to serve a meal to about 3,000 people who will come through here today. Volunteers are helping people who lost their homes in the north bay fires by sifting through the debris hoping to find something that was not destroyed. Theyre starting in the Fountain Grove neighborhood. Theyre searching for anything of actual or emotional value. Just the things that are most important that reminds me of who the remind me of who the people are. Reporter the sifting Police Station is organized by the church in the area. The volunteering is expecting to last at least until the end of the year. The bay area air quality district is asking people to voluntarily forego wood fires today. The agency says air quality is already compromised and that wood smoke is a major source of pollution. The air quality district says the goal is to make it a safe and healthy holiday for everyone. Air quality has been elevated over the past couple of days, and as we head into the thanksgiving holiday, were asking that people voluntarily not burn wood so that we dont exceed any federal limits on air quality. Reporter people who do light a fire wont be fined because they did not declare a spare the air alert for today because it would have triggered a ban on wood burning and potential fines. One of San Franciscos most Iconic Hotels kicks off the season with a real treat, the fairmont ginger bread house. We with have a look at how it gets created. Reporter it takes months of planning to create and so much baking to cover the walls of this ginger bread house that is 25 feet high and 35 feet wide. It starts with the most complex of plans for the incredible Fairmont Hotel ginger bread house. Weve got the exact dimensions of very tall, weve got even bigger which relates to really big. And a lot of these was prepared been annie the elf. We started about six months ago baking our ginger breads. In the end, were going to have over 10,000 bricks of ginger bread and then well have 3,000pounds of royal icing. Its like a second job and it got a little bigger thanks to the addition of a dining room. Up to 12 people can dine in the ginger bread house now. Reporter the crews from engineering and catering come together to make the magic. Paul the carpenter leads a crew that builds the frame. Then, larry, the painter does all of the electronics, and he heads the team that does the lighting. One of the things that i added was the santa which is stuck in the chimney. We sort of envision santa having a big meal and maybe having a few too many falling out of the sleigh into the chimney. This started nine years ago as a way to get people to the fairmont. No one has this. Other people do little, cute houses. Our Engineering Team spends hours doing this. Reporter ginger bread has become the foundation for what has become a bay area tradition. If we can give a little advice, it is to take your time to look at all of the details. It is all done with skill and care, well, maybe except for the one i did. There you go, give it a try. We add a few drops of vinegar just to ensure that the bugs dont find their way into if ginger bread. And yes, every day, pieces of the house seem to come up missing. Is it low where the kids are grabbing it or high where the adults are grabbing it . I dont know, probably higher. People walk through and put their hands on it, its not something you want to lick. And what is taken will be replaced because this is about Holding Tight to the magic, magic that began the moment a young man named dalton flipped the switch to turn on the lights. Were a small school with 600 students, and its really important that were around one another so it was big to get back on the football field. Warriors obviously know how important basketball has been to them and what basketball has done for them so they want to pass on that same opportunity for the kids and invest in the youth because the youth is our future. They came out okay but thats nothing compared to what one man is doing, baking as many as three dozen pies. 89 year old poncho is known as the pie guy. He worked at a bakery in oakland. When he retired, he continued baking, this time, making pies for his family, friends and neighbors. He grows all the apples and peaches himself, and makes all the dough by hand. I have to make the dough, and freeze the fruit, cut the apples and slice and put it together. Reporter i should have gone to his house. For all these years, he has done the baking and everything by himself. This year, we know one of his seven children is helping dad out in the kitchen. Look at that recipe book, written by hand, to be passed down by generations. Thats a goal. Yes, i love it. I was at the Hardware Store stocking up on extra bulbs for the house as we with get ready to string them up. No Clark Griswold but just a few. If decorating makes you happy, theres a reason for it. Some of the women that say that they were sexually assaulted by doctor larry nasser spoke out in a lansing, michigan courtroom, he pleaded guilty to 7 counts of sexual abuse yesterday. After the guilty plea, several gymnast spoke out saying coaches and Team Officials try to keep them quiet, even after authorities were receiving reports about his abuse.
