I will take you to some video from earlier this morning, the fire started at 5 25 at this home inside of the Mission Bay Community in san leandro, by the time that the firefighters arrived at the scene, the mobile home was fully engulfed with flames, it was a huge fire, they knocked down the flames and when the firefighters were able to go inside of the home, thats when they found the victims in the back of this mobile home, we talked with neighbors this this area, one gentlemen lives across the street, he described what he saw this morning. I saw a bright light coming through the window. I peaked out and saw the front side going up. It started to pop and went really quickly. Reporter again, two people were found dead in the back of this mobile home after firefighters knocked down the flames, the two people have not been identified but some neighbors are telling us they know who lives in that home, an elderly couple, there will be a full investigation to figure out how the fire started and why the couple could not make it out. I asked the battalion chief if anything was suspicious but he said they will be having investigators looking into the cause of the fire to figure out why these two people did not make it out. Was the fire contained to that one unit . Reporter it was, it appears to me that it was. For the most part. On the far side, its possible that there is a bit of damage that was done to one of the neighboring structures but for the most part it was contained to the mobile home. Lets go to a followup on a story we brought you yesterday. A police chase in the east bay ended in a deadly officer involved shooting and tied up traffic on the bay bridge for more than eight hours. Authorities first chased a homicide suspect in a chevy from richmond, 880, he was wanted for the shooting of a 68 year old man two years ago, california Highway Patrol officers put down spike strips to blow out his tires, he was later killed in a gun battle with police. He shot at officers, officers returned fire and he was transported to a local hospital where he died. The shoolting closed a stretch of 80 for hours, shooting closed a stretch of 80 for hours. An investigation is underway as to why the driver a run away bus plowed into a busy intersection, it hit the downtown intersection of fremont and folsom. It eventually slammed into a traffic pole. A 14 Year Old Girl was walking to school yesterday morning when she said a stranger drove up in a white van near hundred 101, he honked the horn to get her attention and tried to pull her into the vehicle, she described the man as a middle eastern man in his late 50s or early 60s. Police said they are aware of a similar abduction last week, authorities are trying to figure if they are related. It has too much resistance in the upper atmosphere so over the next two days, its going to be replaced with cooler air. Fairfield and santa rosa, 10 degrees cooler than they were 24 hours ago. Others are not as dramatic, one to 2 degrees cooler. We are et setting the stage for a cooler pattern as we lose the northerly breeze. Sfo has a westerly breeze at 8 miles per hour. 60s and 70s now, when the fog makes the push, is just a matter of time before everyone cools off. We have a sigalert. Actually, the sigalert is gone. The traffic is recovering a bit. First we are going to the fog, if you are driving, this is a nice shot weather wise but if you are driving on the Golden Gate Bridge, you may not be able to see that well. We have news about a fire at a Mobile Home Park in san leandro. Two people have died. Reporter authorities have told us that the victims were a man and a woman, they have not been identified but the two people were killed as the fire scrept through a mobile home earlier this morning. An investigation is beginning to unfold here. The two people were not able to escape the smoke and the flames early this morning. Neighbors are telling us there was an elderly couple that lived in the homes. The fire started early this morning. This community, the Mission Bay Community is on wiks boand w huge flames coming from the home. When they got the fire under control they were able to search the home. They found the man and woman in the back of the home. Authorities have not been able to identify them but one neighbor talked about the man and woman who lived here. They went around and hugged everyone no matter who you were. She always had a smile on her face, just the nicest lady around. Reporter investigators are here, they have been gathering evidence for the past few hours, they are going to investigate how the fire started and they are trying to figure out why the victims were not able to escape this Early Morning fire. They are also looking into whether or not smoke detectors were working inside of the home.
