They say they have the upper hand on what was a four alarm brush fire. The flames were threatening 50 homes. Evacuations were ordered as they made during lowlevel drops of fire retardant. It started around 12 15 pm this afternoon and burned 20 acres near edwards avenue and mountain boulevard near interstate 580.
