We are at the scene of a crash where two Oakland Police were hurt in a collision. This happened at high and international streets. Alex savage is on the scene talking with police about what happened. Reporter those two met Police Officers first of all who were injured are going to be okay. They are being treated at the hospital for the injuries but they are both in stable condition. The officers were responding to a call when they collided with another car. The crash happened at the intersection of international boulevard in high street. The cars came to rest in the area of the valero gas station. You can see the Police Cruiser in the white mustang being towed away. The driver of the white mustang also was hurt in this accident but that person is supposed to be okay. The crash happened at 3 45 am with the cruiser heading north on international boulevard when it collided with the white mustang heading west along high street. We do not know if the light was red for the officers or not. That is part of the investigation. The Police Cruiser did have its lights and sirens on according to the lieutenant at the scene. Officers were responding to a traffic stop nearby evolving involving someone involved in a shooting. The officers were responding to a shooting. They were responding to a code 3. Traveling westbound international when they collided with the vehicle that was going southbound high street. Reporter again the two officers were responding to cover another sergeant who had made a traffic stop but someone thought to have been involved in a shooting that happened in this area earlier this morning. According to the lieutenant that we spoke with, several people were arrested who were inside of the car involved in that original traffic stop and thought to have been involved in a shooting in which no one was hurt. We will bring you back out here to alive picture. Again this is where the crash happened involving the Police Cruiser. Two officers said to be in stable condition. You can see this whole intersection closed off in all directions right here at high street and international boulevard.
